  1. Sweet looking Superliner 2. How about drawing a day cab with a dump trailer behind it?
  2. Got the truck fixed this week. I got a new clutch, motor mounts, flywheel resurfaced, pinion seal, flex pipe in the exhaust, top to the fuel pump to stop oil/fuel leaks and new oil pan gasket to stop the oil leak. I got the two windshields installed. Finally, got the lettering done(picture included). Tomorrow I'm going to wash, grease, adjust brakes, connect trailer and fix one brake light. I'm going to be working nights this weekend again so I'm excited about making some money with my investment. BTW: I turned the fuel up on the pump so I'll be rollin' coal!!!
  3. I knew someone would say that. Haha! I'm just counting on parts/rims to be easier to get with buds. The spokes are few and far between down here in south Louisiana. Have any suggestions jakebrake86?
  4. I'm looking to buy a Mack DM triaxle dump truck. I'd like for it to have a 300 or larger engine, camelback suspension and bud wheels. I am hoping to spend less than 20 thousand for whatever I find. If anyone can help point me in the direction of one I'd appreciate it.
  5. Good to know I'm not the only one with 5.73 rearends! LOL! My top speed with a T2090 and a 300 horsepower is about 63-65 mph. I have 11-24.5 tires in case you were wondering.
  6. Have yet to get lettering done. I did work nights on a road construction crew this past weekend. I think this is where I found the few gremlins hiding in the truck... I had the oil pan leaking 3 quarts of oil in one day, fuel pump leaking and the clutch went out. It's getting fixed this week so I can go work nights again this weekend. BTW: I got two new windshields that I'm going to try and get put in this week as well.
  7. I'm curious do you still have the truck or has it been sold?
  8. Got the speedometer fixed and it looks like 63mph is my top speed. Haha! I got insurance, license, title, inspection and kingpins/bushings done in the last two days. I have to go to the Department of Revenue and pay my heavy vehicle use fee and I should be legal for a year( I have 58 days left to pay it). I'm going 9am next Monday to get my lettering done. So far the only trouble I noticed with the truck is a blinker not working and a slight miss in the engine at takeoff( fuel issue I think). I'll be posting pics of the lettering so stay tuned.
  9. Congrats, but the thought of surgery makes me cringe! LOL
  10. Sorry I didn't make it I had a death in the family. When are yall going to do something again?
  11. Thanks, it'll take about three hours to get up there. I'll try and catch up with you.
  12. Welded on a D-ring that was missing on the lowboy and figured out the ratio for the speedometer drive. I ordered the drive gear and it should be in tomorrow or Thursday. After that it's just license, insurance, inspection and kingpins/bushings. I'm so excited:) Thanks to everyone for the kind words, help and following my post. I'll be posting action shots as they happen.
  13. That's the new octimus prime from Transformers 4. Where did u see it?
  14. I'm thinking about riding up. Is there anything I should know before I do so like to bring chairs, food and ect???
  15. Maddog it's not Volvo that makes getting parts hard it's the people at the parts department at my dealership. They don't know anything about the trucks and they say is my truck is just too old.
  16. JakeBrake I appreciate it but as you can see I've already got a new one on my truck. I have a two hole RD bumper I've been trying to get rid of for a while... What bolt pattern does yours have?
  17. Well I have a little more to do but I'm so close I can taste it! I changed every light except the turn signals and headlights. I changed the fuel gauge, sending unit, one to one tach drive, tach cable, speedo cable, adjusted cab leveling valve, gladhand O-rings, valves that set spring brakes, many airlines and fittings. I'll be pulling a 1978 Chancey 35 ton two axle lowboy(picture included). I've had to fix all the lights, change a valve by the air tank, replace the drain fitting and adjust the brakes. I have the speedo gear to replace in the transmission( can anyone help?) and get all my plates and paperwork straight. BTW: I know there's more I've done but at this point I've lost track.

My dad's is a converted tractor with 38k's and it does fine. Total truck/cargo is 54k.
  20. I'd be interested in the General if it ever goes for sale!
  21. Here are the pics as promised. I still have to fix gauges and lights, mount half fenders and other small things.
  22. I'm having trouble figuring out where to connect the air lines on the head of my shifter. I have an Eaton Fuller head that has three lines going to it(red, green and black) but where do they connect?
  23. Motor is together and running. Front axle is together. Hydraulic tank is mounted. I'm working on lights, gauges, changing transmission fluid, replacing hydraulic pump and installing half fenders. Pics coming soon.
  24. Where did yall find that pic? It's a Louisiana truck according to the license plate and door but I can't tell where.
  25. Oh, I was going to say if your going to be in the Baton Rouge, LA area to give me a shout. I've never seen or heard an E9 and I'd like to.
