  1. Barry, or someone who knows.... Why can't I post on my topic under antique Macks "1991 RD690S"? I tried to today but it autosaves my text and acts like it wants to post but it never shows up. If you can help it would be greatly appreciated. BTW: I've found this to be a problem on older post like ones that haven't been posted on in 45 days or more.
  2. Yea, I figured it not being a 7.3 with a 5 speed would make it a bit harder to sell. I can promise you this it's in pretty good shape for it's age. It has a few things that need attention but overall it's a good truck. If nothing else it would make a good farm/hunting truck for someone.
  3. BTW: The selling price is $3,000.00
  4. I'm looking to sell this truck ASAP. I have a clean/clear title in hand. This truck has a manual transfer case, power windows, power locks, 5.8 gas engine, E40D automatic transmission and a gooseneck hitch. In the past few years this truck has had over $14,000.00 spent in repairs in order to restore this truck(all of which is documented with the work being done by Ford). In the past week it has had the belt, engine oil and filter, transmission fluid and air filter changed. If your interested feel free to send me a message. I'm located in Clinton, Louisiana.
  5. My "87 r686st does the same thing. Everything is fine and it comes on/off every so often.
  6. Good luck my friend! I hope the verdict is in your favor so maybe we can remind our gov't that it is not suppose to be pushing us "the people" around.
  7. The uppers and lowers are available aftermarket in urethane for the 38k rears. I purchased mine last year and if I remember they were about $100 per spring end.
  8. Thanks vision 386. Can you describe what all I can expect to see and things to do while there?
  9. I'm trying to get some people rounded up to attend from Louisiana. This will be my first time attending. Do I have to register or pay anything if I'm not putting a truck/booth in the show?
  10. I'd say fix the Mack and run it instead of the other brands mentioned. It's a much stronger and better suited for hard work. I basically rebuilt mine which was in very bad shape and I couldn't be happier. It hasn't left me on the side of the road even when the clutch went out. If you care to read what I repaired on mine go to the antique section and search 1991 RD690S. This should give you an idea of how ruff mine was when I bought it and yours doesn't sound as bad as mine even with the frame issues.
  11. b61mack I do the same thing when adjusting mine and it gives me about 3/4" of rod movement.
  12. So bad dog your saying an 11x22.5 is an inch taller than 10-20's?
  13. Dad had a driver that would open his on accident because the lift axle had the same switch. After the second time my dad and his pit foreman "convinced" him not to do it again because he'd be cleaning up on his on. LOL
  14. We got a lot of rain and it's been in the 40's. I hauled one load of gravel today and am suppose to work nights the next two weekends. I'm waiting on Mr. Baker to call me back when he gets all the titles in hand. I'm trying to decide whether to convert the '86 or '94 into a dump truck. What do you think?
  15. Jake I can say I've never forgot to open/close the gate on my truck. I have had it pop open on it's own though:) How's work been? Did you finish the cleanup job?
  16. That looks like dirt to me! I don't think I've seen such dark sand before.
  17. Jake do you have a picture of the 315 mounted on a truck?
  18. I'm looking to buy a truck with 10-20 tires and Dayton rims. I've heard that you can change the rims and put tubeless 11-22.5 in there place as an exact replacement. Is that true? If so what size rims will I need? Also, I'm curious if I want to put wide/flotation tires on the steer axle what size rim would I need? Is it even possible to put floats without changing the hub?
  19. Ok, thanks I was just curous. I have 38k rears without a greasable cap so I didn't know much about them.
  20. How much do you put in it? Will it run out somewhere once you have enough grease in it?
  21. twostack what's the average life in yrs/mile of a greased bushing?
  22. I'm curious as to how often this needs to be done? I think all rears 44k and larger require lubrication isn't that right?
  23. So jakebrake are yall going to buy all the mixers?
  24. Everything went well this last weekend working nights. I had to replace a brake chamber and air line once I got home because they were leaking. Turning the fuel up sure did help this truck come alive! I'll be paying my federal heavy vehicle tax this week so I'll be completely legal. I included some pictures for your enjoyment.
  25. A superliner 2 daycab with a "Mate" brand end dump aluminum trailer would be fine with me. I'm sure there are pictures online of the truck and trailer you can use for reference. Mate has a website and is based out of Houston, TX.
