  1. Thanks Larry. The shed came from Old Hickory Buildings and Sheds, they made it up 29 north of Lynchburg in Nelson Co, but they make them and have dealers all around. This one was supposed to have gone to a dealer's lot in Danville. I went up there on a Saturday when they were closed just to look and a salesman happened to stop by. He sold me this one as being from the dealer lot in Lynchburg so it would be close enough to get the free delivery.
  2. I think it's time for this old favorite again, we're inside of 12 days now.
  3. I remember back in the 80's when we were hauling structural steel to Boston just willy-nilly. I hated it, all the traffic and narrow streets. Anyway, Sam couldn't make a right turn to get to a job site because a car was parked on the corner- illegally of course. So he was sitting there, had the entire street blocked, both directions. A cop came walking up and asked what the problem was, and Sam told him he couldn't make the turn without hitting the car. The cop looked and told him to get turning and unblock the street. Sam said "I can't, i'll hit that car." The cop told him to run over the car because the car wasn't supposed to be there in the first place, and if he didn't HE was going to get a ticket. So he proceeded to run over the car. I would have probably enjoyed it if it was me.
  4. Here's the one from Macungie. A fine looking unit!
  5. Wow, I might hit 60 homers next season!..still won't get in the hall of fame though.
  6. When I was a kid- yeah, it's been a while- my Dad always used Quaker State oil. I don't know how the 292 engine in his Chevrolet pickup looked on the inside, or the 327 in Ma's Impala either, but as I got older I heard more than one person say that Quaker State oil would gum your engine up. And it may not have been any worse than any other oil, but I didn't take any chances with it, I used Pennzoil. Still use Pennzoil, but I use the Pennzoil Platinum synthetic oil now.
  7. Old Bill also had a story about Peninsula trucks on his website, but I didn't remember that he drove one until I just got the book out that he sent me and looked at it. He saw one with the Rolls Royce straight 8 engine too.
  8. It's pretty nice, I could put Ollie's bed in one corner and my chaise lounge that's on the porch in another corner.
  9. I've seen a Duplex in Macungie a couple of times, but can't get to a picture right now. I'm sure it's in my Flickr pictures though.
  10. A lot of students drove the busses when I was in school too. And most of them were Internationals, a good many of them were anyway, including old number 8 that I rode. It looked kind of like this one.
  11. Old Bill had a great story on his website about his adventures driving a Leyland Hippo. That was the first I'd ever heard of them.
  12. I remember my wife taking it when she had cancer, along with many other drugs, but I don't remember what she was taking it for specifically.
  13. The shed guy delivered the shed today, it's nice. I would have rather had it around back, in front of that big chestnut oak, but it would not clear the power line you can barely see behind it. I could have had the shed guy try to go all the way around the other end and get it there, but the ground is soft and it was raining at the time. It's a lot bigger than the old one too, even has a hay loft. It has a loft storage area at each end, and it's open in the middle. Nice. It was over $3000, but I don't remember exactly how much. I wrote the shed guy a check for $2900 today, but we paid some on it when we first looked at it. Zina from Florida put that on her Allegiant card so she could get airline points.
  14. Well, I went to the doctor Saturday. He wrote me a prescription for this- Start off taking 6 pills a day for 4 days, then 4 a day for 4 days, then 2 a day for 4 days. It's still swollen but it doesn't hurt near as bad as it did.
  15. Yes, that's the one!
  16. The thing is, I've never had knee problems before. I've got arthritis in my hands, and I've had gout attacks before but only in my feets. And I don't remember straining it or twisting it. Maybe I should go to a doctor.
  17. Last night it went back to hurting like crazy. I found some pain pills that my dentist wrote me a prescription for in 2017 that I had filled but never taken any of them. I took one about 1AM and another one when I got up this morning, they helped a lot. But Zina from Florida says I'm going to the doctor when she gets back from Appomattox.
  18. No Paul, I haven't. I haven't checked my emails lately either. I just thought last week that I should try to call him.
  19. I never drove one, but I always liked the looks of them, and the similar looking 7000 GMC.
  20. I saw an early Bronco in Florida one time.
  21. A few years ago I bought a bag of dark chocolate raspberry flavored M&M's. I think I got them at the truck stop in Barkeyville, Pa. They were the best M&M's I ever had, and I've never seen them anywhere ever since.
  22. That youtube video of the white Brigadier is still one of my all time favorites. It's called "Shifting a 6-71 Part 2". I don't know how to copy the link with my phone.
  23. I'm sitting at home today because my knee has been swollen for 2 days now. At least it doesn't hurt as bad as it did yesterday and last night. Zina from Florida wants me to go to the doctor. I told her yesterday that I would this morning if it wasn't better, but it is. Actually it looks like the swelling is worse, but it doesn't hurt as bad. I think it's gout.
  24. This is the place that did all the wheel cylinders. It has 2 wheel cylinders per wheel, also all new brake lines.
  25. Yeah, they said they would paint it any color I wanted, so I got white with a green metal roof so it matches the house.
