  1. This is better than comedy central
  2. Jo's one of 5 identicle quintuplets (???). None of them know anything either. But they think they know everything-one of them just told me I spelled identical wrong and I had a dangling participle
  3. Yeah, I asked my youngest son last time he was over, but he couldn't figger it out either. He's almost 25 though. I've only had this machine a few months.
  4. I got it at wal-mart but i've had it too long to take it back. I think I just don't have something set right. It doesn't bother me because it plays fine, but Jo likes to tape movies and stuff off the tv and she's been nagging-I mean, she's asked me several times to try to get it working right so she can see the movie she's trying to tape.
  5. I finally got around to getting a new VCR/DVD combination a while back because neither of the 2 old ones worked right anymore. The DVD player was a $29 unit from the dollar store, and the VCR was 62 years old-old enough to retire. The problem is I can not get a picture on the TV when the power is on to the DVD/VCR- just a blue screen. The old remote had a button for tv or vcr mode but this one doesn't. It works ok to play tapes and dvd's but if you try to record something off the tv you can't see the program you're recording-but it does record it, I checked it...just can't see it or hear it to cut commercials or whatever. I tried everything I know (not much) and pushed a lot of buttons, still can't get a tv picture- anyone got any ideas?
  6. He doesn't have time for that-now every vehicle, all the clothes, furniture, appliances, and the dog will have a bulldog patch embroidered on it.
  7. Great ideer, I know it'll be a show stopper when it's finished!..and yeah, it looks pretty good now.
  8. compromise- get a beagle!
  9. found it with more info-I was looking on the wrong road. It's on rt. 52,southeast of Minot.
  10. Great! What do you haul, new office furniture or general home furniture store type furniture? The first time I passed through Butte was at night and there were lights everywhere, all over the mountainsides and I thought "wow, this place is huge". Then when I saw it in the daytime it wasn't nearly as impressive-size wise that is-still beautiful country though.I wouldn't mind living out there.
  11. Wow,lots of good lookin' Macks and Brockways here! Looks like you did a fine job on the B-61 too. I took a load from Enterprise, Al. up to Lakehurst N.J. earlier this week.
  12. I couldn't find the b-model sign or the pit mine on google earth. But one of our drivers called me one day this week and told me he found a nest of old Macks on rt. 30 about 10 miles west of Gettysburg,Pa. He said they were in good condition, like they had come in from a trip and parked there and left. He said one was an LJ that was hooked to an old reefer trailer with the blower and ice compartment in the nose.I didn't see that but I did find these 2 B's,so I suspect this is the place he was talking about.I saw the red B-model here with the van trailer in a youtube video I just watched and downloaded on realplayer. It's called "Semi truck junkyard pictures".http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-M7rjzTUPlU I also found the Snow Train and Rob's new gantry crane on google earth.
  13. she never looked at me-just rode along and let me look at her.and all my teeth are original equipment-both of them.
  14. Montana is one of the prettiest places i've ever been to.
  15. I've always wanted to see Canada-and not just from across the river from Detroit or Buffalo, which i've done, but really see it. One of my best friends lives in Elliot Lake. I want to see Moose Jaw, and Red Deer, and Kamloops, and Labrador City. Soon as I win the lottery i'm outa here...
  16. She passed me and I said "that's a pretty good one too"...since I missed getting a picture of the one in a red, white, and blue bikini in the Mustang convertible. So I grabbed the camera and hammered down and rode alongside for a while-she didn't seem to mind...Geez, I meant to say "I was riding along, minding my own binness, as usual, and all of a sudden I wondered what the reflection of my truck would look like in a window of a passing vehicle. And this just happened to be the next passing vehicle-I never even noticed the driver." That's my story. I couldn't catch the Mustang.
  17. Notice the reflection of a Peterbilt truck in the passenger window of a random automobile that was passing by...pretty neat,eh?
  18. Thank you-I agree,as did the customer I delivered to.
  19. The wheels painted to match the truck looks good, but I like the edges painted white...maybe silver. Whatever looks best to you is the way i'd go.
  20. couldn't say... "hey man, I got a blunt- let's burn one". "What? are you crazy? there's gunpowder all over!" "awh man, no problem-I do it all the time!" "really?" "yeah" "well...all right then, if you're sure it's safe" "dude, don't worry-trust me, I do it every day and ain't nuthin' happened yet". "arrrright then, let's fire that mutha up!"
  21. I don't have anything to do with any of that, this is the actual un-retouched or altered in any way google earth photo.
  22. Was looking around on Google Earth and checked out Rob's place. I see he has his new gantry crane set up-looks like it would lift most anything. Looks great Rob!
  23. I started reading this and thought "gee, this sounds familiar"...didn't realize the original post was that old. But I would imagine that if you're not used to older equipment it's hard to imagine nowadays. The newer engines are so different. Lugging the engine was just something you never did, you had to keep 'em "wound up"-now they're all about like a maxidyne, you can pull down to 11-1200 rpms and it won't hurt them. That's what they say anyway, I still downshift at about 14-1500. And it used to be if you let the temp. get much over 200 too much, you'd cooked an engine. Now the fan doesn't even come on until it gets to 205 degrees.
