  1. I'll throw my chains and binders and a few gallons of oil (got a Detroit ya know) in the passenger side floorboard, the rest of my stuff i'll have to carry on the trailer. Gotta get a headache rack on it too, I can store some stuff there.
  2. I hope the DVD will be available by Christmas!
  3. Yeah, that wind was something on Monday around here. Thought it was gonna blow me off the road a couple of times on the way to Orchard Park-with a flatbed! Went through a couple of whiteouts from snow blowing across the road so hard I couldn't tell if I was still on the road or out in a cornfield. You should tell Dozer to cut back on those late nights at the bar. He might be wearing a disguise, but I know it's him.
  4. I went back to the historical archives down at the courthouse and found a picture of his first one-
  5. ...hmmmm, haven't played "fix that post" for a while- Wow,I can see why. Expensive poles in Illinois, must be mahogany or teak.
  6. Left Monday going to Orchard Park,N.Y. Took a few pictures on rt. 219,except the last one was I-79 south of Erie. the R-model was in Monongahela,Pa. where I reloaded.
  7. I'm just waiting for him to do something...
  8. Snowing here-calling for 3-5 inches,then freezing rain later...wonderful.

  9. Thanks Larry, and merry Christmas to you. P.S.- Don't worry,I will not mess with your truck picture.
  10. Looks like Double L moved to sunny south Florida, the little boy ain't dressed right for Illinois.
  11. good googly-moogly! I'd be happy with just one...preferably the brunette kneeling on the left, but any one would do.
  12. dammit!..I hate when that happens! Just when it was gettin' to the good part! What a cliffhanger!
  13. I know Jeff Moore. He owns the truck I drive.Never knew he owned a baseball team though. He was only 16 or 17 years old in '78.
  14. Oh...I guess I don't remember that-the left lane was the Monfort lane. I did find these pictures, and the article was in this issue of "Old Time Trucks". Sorry for the crappy pictures but my scanner doesn't work.
  15. They called them "The Left Lane Carrier" or "Left Lane Co." or left lane something,I do remember that.
  16. Thank you very much indeed. And merry Christmas to you and yours!
  17. I thought that satelite picture looked familiar. That incident happened about 2 months ago. In case you missed it, here's the story- http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?showtopic=16111 Randy and his dog Spot seem to be becoming very popular to goof on around here. (don't miss the new adventures of Spot!) Rob feels like Roadway Express when J.B.Hunt came along and pretty much ended "Big R" jokes. He just hasn't had much to going on to joke about lately,he must be working or something.
  18. Sounds typical for Philly.Ran across lots of hateful people there.Must be something in the water- They love Michael Vick right now,but let him have one bad game and they'll be ready to hang him.
  19. ...reminds me of eating corn on the cob at a picnic on a hot summer day...
  20. There was an article in Wheels of Time a while back about Monfort. Or it could have been in Old Time Trucks,a really good antique truck magazine too.
  21. Yeah...I don't mind cold, but snow sucks-to the highest level of sucktivity. I remember that storm,I was afraid i'd get an Orchard Park load that Thursday but ended up going to Warren,Oh and reloading in Cleveland for Lawrenceville,Va.
  22. Amen brother!(Bulldogman)
