  2. 350 is Econodye! It needs a multi speed trans to work properly ! They commonly came with a 12 speed in our neck of the woods! If you had a 285 Maxidyne you can get away with less gears as the Maxidyne has a huge working range!The 350 has a two stage aftercooled Coolant at the top ! 285 had Air to air only I believe! Never seen it offered any other way! You could swap parts and use the Chassis charge air !!!

  6. Think it may be rayco suspension on the single axle ! If you use the tandem set up you should up grade the brakes to the maxi brakes! And there is a good chance the Tandem Has MACK Brakes not the greatest set up! They have slipper pads not rollers!
  7. Robert bosch can be fussy when cold! when warmed up set the idle with the screw behind the throttle lever 7 mm bolt size I believe! I would also suggest running some fuel conditioner with the fuel as these should idle at 650 no problem! not 800 if you tack is correct!

  9. Good question! not sure Real hard to call stuff on a deleted engine! your 6 count there is likley the delete doing those two! the temp is the only thing that Could upset the apple cart there!

  11. Tough to beat 3406E for simplicity Cat wise! second gen series 60 also! Might fine power plant! Fairly simple drive by wire stuff! Yup N14 too! Only 450 + taxed the bottom end on thous!

  14. Don't hold back on info ! How it started happening what you were doing when it happened it all helps! Codes Bla bla bla ! DON"T use any more liquid on the intake! A fuel problem is different than an electrical problem ! A desel will almost always start on vapor ! Just won't run for long!

  17. Not much info bro ! if it has a fuel primer try pumping that till its hard ! I suggest not dumping any kind fuel in the intake ! check the plastic return lines to the head for where and looseness!
  18. Yup nice install so far ! May have an issue with the fan shroud there the fan hub mounts quite a bit lower in the frame than a V8! Minor hicup for a guy with you skills I imagine! Got lots of Balls / patients/ and a big bag of money I hope! 😅

  22. Try running some Standyne or reputable substitute thru if you can make it run again! check the filters for water etc!
