  1. Another awesome truck from the Florham Park, NJ show taken last month. This one is from Clifton Park, NY. The fenders seem a little flimsy for such a rugged truck. I love the radiator on this one as opposed to the typical LF/LJ style.
  2. I captured this beauty at our local truck show in Florham Park, NJ. It looks like it was a fresh restoration. The truck hails from Milford, PA. Top notch stuff! On a side note, I never realized the function of the diamond-plate box between the front tire and battery box. It looks like it is just a fancy step or did it support the air tanks as well?
  3. That's a great old pic. Looking closely you can see that all of the axles are supported by jacks. Was this maybe a permanent display for a while? Still very cool anyway. Even cooler was the fact that 2 of those trucks could be had with the 702 CI "Twin-Six" V12 gas engine. I'm not sure if you could get a Crackerbox with the V12.
  4. Taken today at my job. 90 day Haz-Waste pickup. 4 & 1/4 kitty cat power.
  5. That V12 Chevy was stunning. It looks like it was even started or driven. There was no soot buildup in the stacks. I would have liked to have spent more time at the show and met more members but I was with a group of cranky old guys that wanted to eat and get back to Jersey. I took a lot of pics but I felt I was rushed most of the day. You just can't walk for two hours and see everything and everybody.
  6. Rob, good call on that Rogangelo unit. I can make out the shadow letters on the door on the new pic. I'm also digging the license plate on the vintage pic!
  7. Behemoth A-Car. This is the first time I've seen this truck in person and it left one heck of an impression on me. That a55 !!!
  8. 94 CL700 taken over the weekend. Almasi Excavating from Woodbridge NJ. I posted their other truck in the Superliner thread.
  9. These were shot this past Sunday at Florham Park, NJ. The weather was excellent and the truck turnout was awesome. Enjoy! Almasi was my neighbor when I lived in Woodbridge as a kid.
  10. A short movie for those that are interested.
  11. I like those! I was told it's "Gotta Mechanic Coming?" But seriously, great truck and lots of luck with it.
  12. No sir, I don't like it. Engineering marvel or not..... it looks like a bunch of mis-matched left over pieces of scrap metal all welded together.
  13. Close but no cigar. The IAS has its own campus adjacent to Princeton University. Maybe Albert Einstein drove it while he was there. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Institute_for_Advanced_Study
  14. I always liked the SVO Mustangs. That one looks like an 84 or early 85. They boosted the HP on the 85.5 and 86's to 200 HP which was that same as the V8 at the time. Very nice car and good luck with it.
  15. Hey Rob, great pic of the Ford LTL. Living in Central Jersey when you were growing up, do you recall or have pics of Robert Steffer's fleet of pink LTL's that he used to run before he got in a boatload of trouble. I think he was from the Shrewsbury/Matawan area. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Bid_Rig
  16. Ack!! I had that same Honda ATC when I was younger and I'm still alive to talk about it!! They weren't as bad as people made 'em out to be.
  17. .......of the Jersey Shore? Heck it might be the World. Ralph Clayton had a large sand pit right on the Jackson/Lakewood border that is now fully developed.
  18. I take it you don't live far from Peosta, Iowa where they are located.
  19. I caught this Lucas Bros. lowboy tractor along RT528 in Lakewood.
  20. Wow! That's a great shot of Ben Gagliano's truck. It was in the Dick Guerrera / Golden Age Museum in CT for a while before they shut down. That's the only time I've seen it with the sleeper box on it. Ben was a great ambassador of the ATHS and got me involved back in 1988. Where is it now?
  21. I'm pretty certain those are Centurion cabovers. These were made in low-pro as well and were very popular in the refuse chassis market.
  22. Congrats on the purchase JT! I'm sorry I couldn't meet up with you at the swap meet as I was swamped on Sat & Sun. You'll be happy to know that a certain Macho T/A got a top 60 People's Choice trophy in a very tough field of show cars.
  23. Thanks for the background info on the truck. This board is full of excellent resources including yourself.
