  1. I met him at the Diesel Drags a few years back when he had the IH. He and the truck were both a class act. I don't recall his name but he was from Braddock, NJ down near Hammonton. He was dressed in white shirt and tie with pressed trousers and he had a plaque on the side of the truck proclaiming his prestigious award. His son had an equally nice long-wheelbase daycab Pete.
  2. Ditto. That Woodland Mack was from my old neighborhood. He currently runs an R600 single-axle with a tri-axle dump every day up and down RT130.
  3. Wow! I was wondering if the Mack Trailer A-Car was still around. It looks like it was taken off of the road as the front plate was removed. I grabbed a handful of these handouts from Beyer Bros in Fairview a long time ago.
  4. HAHA!! It's not a tree.......it's a state of mind! LMAO!!!!
  5. I remember when Boonton / Montville was the end of the line for RT287. I'm just off of NJTP Exit 7. A stone's throw from Fort Dix. Lot's of farmland but not quite a "piney" either.
  6. Two fine examples taken at the wet and windy ATHS National show.
  7. Rob, you're way up there! When I ran for Penske, the furthest I was up that way was Oakland area. Many times to Parsippany and Pine Brook too. Pretty part of the state up that way...... a lot different than my neck of the woods.
  8. Tackaberry AT64 at Macungie.
  9. Just by being a member of the Metro Jersey Chapter of the ATHS. Gary is a member and he is gracious enough to hold an open house at his facility every year just for club members. Years back when Gary still owned the Millington Quarry (now Tilcon) we would hop on the back of an old chain-drive AC stakebed and get a tour of the quarry and the "pine forest boneyard". I have a bunch more pics on my old computer that I've been trying to transfer. Good times. One more......D.W. Ford B-87. And yes, it is stunning in person!
  10. "Big Snort" taken from the Mahan Collection. Yes, it is beastly!
  11. I like this truck so much it pops up in pictures of other DM's as well. Taken at Gerhart's.
  12. I'm an information freak and I love to see this stuff. It would truly be a shame if you could not post any more of your brochure collection. The scans have been great quality and I looked forward to seeing new brochures posted.
  13. Taken just today in front of Bergey's Mack in Hamilton Twp, NJ.
  14. Great thread! I love the shot of the LT with the short dump trailer from the previous page. How is the name pronounced......is it "selly" or chelly"? Just curious.
  15. Taken by me at the ATHS National show at Mass. It figures the day I can go it pours rain all day long. I was soaked to the bone!
  16. There were some great pictures of that truck in Saw Mill lettering on one of the diecast boards a while back. Very impressive unit.
  17. Tackaberry A-Car taken at Macungie. From what I gather this truck has ridiculous low miles on it.
  18. Ex-Conti now at the Mahan Collection.
  19. Super clean DM. It has Jersey plates but says Staten Island, NY on the door? Taken at Raceway Park.
  20. I've heard of this monster but have never seen pics of it. Those are definately older shots because it shows their old location on the door. They are in Branchburg now just off of RT22.
  21. Thanks for posting that Rob. If you look at your last pic you can see how deep that radiator goes thus the unique bumper. I've seen it at Macungie a few years back and was awestruck. Pics borrowed from the web. Another example of that crazy bumper.
  22. Thanks for posting those. It looks that user is adding more material to his site. The AMT Model truck section is stunning to say the least.
  23. Detroit-powered Superliner. Pic borrowed from the internet.
  24. Wow, nice little pup! Marlboro was the first big truck show I attended. I drove 6 hours one way in my 1986 Buick Grand National. What a trip.
