  1. I'm gonna take a stab that it's a '70 or '71 based on the cast grille. Aime Bellavance hauled a lot of granite out of the quarries in Vermont. They still do but with Navistars now. http://www.bellavancetrucking.com/
  2. I stumbled upon that site a few years back and grabbed some pics off of it.
  3. Nalbone was a small excavating outfit located off of RT33 in Hamilton Square, NJ. At one time they may have been a dump body outfitter. I can't find any info on them on Google at the moment as they've been gone for about 25 years.
  4. The Corbett units are awesome. NJ was such a hotbed of heavy machinery back in the old days.
  5. That Hightstown R-model is real close to me. It's got MG plates which means it's a township or county truck.
  6. Growing up in the heart of horse country in New Jersey (imagine that) I fondly remember the F-models with the horseshoe grille. It seemed that every horse pullman was a Ralph G. Smith or a Brook Ledge from Oley.
  7. There's a shot of the 4000 on this page. http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/macneil_70s_06.htm
  8. a quick google search produced a couple of nice shots that can be viewed on Hank's Truck Pictures. http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/macneil_70s_18.htm R model tank, middle of the page http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/macneil_70s_23.htm IH Transtar pneumatic tank, middle of the page http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/macneil_p2a2a.htm R model pneumatic tank, near bottom of page I'm just sending the link. You can open the page and scroll down to view the pics. Hank's is still a wonderful resource despite the efforts of some of the contributors.
  9. Sorry, I removed copyrighted photos for obvious reasons.
  10. Yes, Mark. Raceway Park Diesel Drags when they were sponsored by Crazy Eddie!!!! The owner at the time was Bob McLain from Buttzville, NJ. The truck believe it or not still exists. I stumbled on some pics of it in its current condition on Flickr. The owner I assume is in Florida.
  11. Regarding the "hibinder", I took this pic back in 1984 and it was the first time I ever saw one. I thought it was home built at first glance. A neat feature was the swing-out fenders.
  12. They also ran a lot of flats loaded with bagged limestone out of Sparta.
  13. More Jersey Brockways!! H.R. Ritter & Krajack. I used to see these all of the time. Love the 360's.
  14. Prang was in the Hopelawn section of Woodbridge Twp. and hauled a lot of roofing products out of Perth Amboy. My uncle lived across the street from their yard and I have vivid memories of these red and black Detroit-powered Huskies. Pic borrowed from Hank's site.
  15. OK, lets get this train back on the tracks. Hmieleski was in South Plainfield NJ and folded in the early 90's. They ran a lot of 359s and later 759s.
  16. My favorite non-Mack would be a tough choice between these two. Freightliner Powerliner. That massive grille could only mean one thing.... a big horse engine hiding inside. Or the classic lines of a GMC MH9500.....318 Jimmy of course.
  17. http://www.tryontrucking.com/ourcompany.html Tryon was in Morrisville / Fairless Hills PA and hauled a lot of steel out the US Steel Fairless Works.
  18. Great pics David! What is the cab size on the Evel truck? It's too big for a daycab but too short for a sleeper.
  19. I just caught it tonight. I got a good laugh from it. It sounds like Robb Mariani wants the Evel truck finished for the Diesel Trucking Nationals in September of this year. I'd like to see the finished product and I hope ETC stays close to original with this one. Red or Blue?
  20. Sure is. My wife and I go there once a week for fresh vegetables. Mastoris is the place to go for sure! It's just 5 minutes for me. Cheesebread, yum!! I read with great interest about your V12 Mack. Sounds like an awesome truck. Good luck on getting her back on the road and I'd like to see it someday at a local show.
