  1. Wiring harness through the valve cover is common problem with 7.3 PS. Our shop stake bed is a 99 F450 with 16ft bed. I ordered it new back then. Ford had a hard time building them so I took a fleet truck from someones stock. Had Ford AC installed (first company truck with ac). 330,000 miles and still runs strong. 6spd been worked on a couple times due to "non stick shift drivers" behind the wheel. I had to drive it home from a few places with no clutch(start in gear and go!). I ordered a new 2000 PSD, CC, DRW 6 spd for myself back then. Sold it after the B model came along. Miss that truck somedays.
  2. I have a friend from HS on Facebook. He jumps on the Pedo Joe train anytime someone posts something against him. He will fight to the death online about how bad Trump is and has an ungawdly amount of links to back his stories. He always looking for a fight. I told him I don't have time for that crap. I got him to admit that Joe is worthless and that is all it takes now to shut him up when he goes off on somebody else about Trump. I just say " you think Joe is worthless" and he stops with the bantering.
  3. Updated, just missing one name, on left. Sorry if met you and can't remember it
  4. Hahahaha..... I used to be called Chuck Norris when I had darker hair (typically wear jeans, leather coat and cowboy boots), then Sam Elliot as it greyed(and grown longer). My gf had a picture of me on my Harley and looked right out of the movie Road House. Tom petty is a new one 😆.
  5. L-R Alex , Baddog, 67R, JTFormula, Me, Mmowerman(Bob), Doug Maney, 70mack(Hippy), Otherdog(Tom), Davcut(Dave), 66dc75(Rich), Yardo, Brocky, Firemack(John) Best I got from memory.
  6. Nice. Now to put names to the faces. I know about 2/3 of them. And CRS is coming on strong with me LOL!
  7. At Macungie, a very nice young man stopped to talk to me at my trailer. Found out he is a Trump guy. I was enthusiastic about that.
  8. Well, it's in the books. Glad to meet up with everyone here. Those I remembered and those that had to remind me!! 😆 I give it a 2 thumbs up event.
  9. Thinking ahead, can I drop my trailer at the show and bobtail to dinner, then get back into the show that evening? Gates left open? Or would I have to wait until Friday morning? Or just plan on getting there in time for dinner and get in line Friday morning? Or get parked and thumb a ride to dinner? Can I even walk in after dark to get to my trailer? Not sure how tight you close up?
  10. Have plans to attend Macungie myself. First time.
  11. Are the shutters closed a lot due to no load on it? My shutters will close at times running down the highway(cool nights) and will get it sounding like a jet engine of sorts drawing against a closed radiator.
  12. 686ST is six wheel tractor(tandem). The TA is just auction jargon for tandem. Agree, likely a repaint. Way too shiny.
  13. Pretty decent C model overall. Thanks for posting it. A Studebaker fan also.
  14. What does she charge for big trucks???
  15. I bring my room and board.
  16. Hold up on that car wash gentleman, I am "trying" to make plans to be there Thursday afternoon. Since I can't get off for York, I might as well try Macungie. Plans may change as time goes but currently working towards getting there for the first time! Hopefully OD will have some Winfall wimmen to pop my 🍒. So add 1 to the list for dinner(So far).
  17. Power assist steering was available on most any trucks even back in the 50s. Back then it was just a hydraulic ram, just like air steering. True power steering was always better. I don't know what year it became available? I have air steering on my B. It is better then nothing. There are no parts available for them so I would not suggest going that route.
  18. The great part of the truck hobby is shiny paint is NOT a prerequisite. Work clothes are better!
  19. I am in awe of your trips Vlad. Looking forward to more updates.
  20. You get what you pay for like most instances. My work place specializes in Injection molding. The shop that does my motor work is a bit on the higher side, but that is more for the fact they won't cut corners, at all. Do it their way or take it some place else. They will tell you so. With the large drop in shops like it, they can be picky. They are swamped as is, so a lost job isn't hurting them. I have been using them for 35 yrs.
  21. No doubt. Worked in machine shop for 38 yrs. Handy thing to learn.
  22. That's where havng a few reams and test fit and find one and use it for setting centerline. Definitely need to adjust throttle blades when putting it back together so everything closes perfectly. Tom did shoot around the base and didn't note any changes in RPM. I'm still hoping for something plugged in the carb. Time will tell.
  23. 301SQ46B was the part number I used.
