I have a Pro Set, but this may be good enough for you, and be a good addition to the tool box. There are many other choices....
-
Some, on here have made pressure testers with PVC parts. If you do that, keep in mind that when you get near 10 psi, these home made tools can pop off with a vengeance. So build it smartly.

If. You don’t have smoke most likely a fuel issue just sayin

What’s the best way to check for boost leaks?
- Today
-
Check boost, could have a crack in the Charge Air Cooler. My '95 e7-350 was a whole different engine when we replaced our cracked CAC. Went from 22psi to peaking around 34 psi under certain conditions.

New Mack Anthem
The Heinz replied to james j neiweem's topic in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
It's. So. Ugly. With how smushed the nose is, any kind of engine work will require disassembling the cab and dog box just to start. My techs already hate working on VNR's for the same reason. -
Electric fuel pump! Likley not because of the year! That said the lda ont the top rear may be at issue here! Let us know!

Trans goes into high range while in 4th gear.
ajones115236 posted a topic in Engine and Transmission
Hi I got a Mack GU713 with a Mack 13 speed in it and the driver says when he preselects high range while in 4th gear the trans shifts into high range. I verified this and found it only does it when it is in 4th gear. First, second, and third it waits till it passes through neutral to shift to high range. Any ideas? -
What are you talking about Vmac?

1961H67 replied to 1961H67's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Yes that would be great, I’ll get it for you after while I don’t have it with me, Also I’ll get you the Vin from my RW 753 Superliner and the parts truck I got the 18,000 steering axle from, I’m wondering the difference in the draglunk joint that connects the steering lever . Yes i see a Couple Superliner dumps working on I40 in the gorge, also my Son uses a Whte one with a green strip on I40 also ,, Thank you, I’ll get those VINs -
In loss of oil pressure or low oil pressure the turbocharger seems to suffer first. On the early ASET AC engines in late 2003 and early 2004 , the turbo and EGR valve shared an oil supply line from the oil filter stand. An update recall had us run a dedicated oil line from the bottom RH side of the engine block to the EGR valve. And the turbo got a new oil supply line as well. If yours was not updated to the new design, the turbo and EGR valve were fighting for oil supply for sure .

What Ford really needs to do is figure out how to get diesel 650's and 750's CARB certified. Sorry to say it looks like the 650 and 750 might be on the way out. At this point I don't think the Ford Commercial dealers would mind much, they are moving lots of Transits and 450-600 Super Duty trucks. Ford says they are committed to building medium duty trucks at the Avon Lake plant through the end of the UAW contract, but Avon Lake is building a lot of 450-600 Duty cab and chassis models which are medium duty trucks.

She has two R-Models that she hauls grain with- she also built one for the Mack Museum. I think she can handle the FWD. -
FREEDOM SUPERLINER
The Heinz replied to 1961H67's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Can you post/send me the VIN for that Freedom edition? I'd love to see if frame rails were available from Mack still for giggles at least lol. I was just up your way yesterday, I came back from a trip to Knoxville through the Gorge just so I could go back through the area after Helene. Wanted to do that ever since Helene destroyed everything and halted my last vacation... Saw plenty of old Macks out there, a DM800, beautiful white R model in Clinton, TN, several 90's RD's, and even a Superliner still in service pulling machinery to rebuild I40.
