It was beside an oak tree and one limb stretched out over it just enough for birds to mess up the side of it. It was much worse than this, but the rain washed some of it off. I pick up rocks out of the garden all the time and I put the ones I had in my wagon down before I moved it, but I need to pick up a lot more rocks! I noticed the rocks in bags at the hardware store were $9.99 a bag the other day. The last ones I bought were $4.99, for pea gravel. I don't know what the $9.99 a bag ones were, gold nuggets I guess. I told her she could drive it without power steering, she just needed to get used to it. She gets more confident every time she drives it. The guy is still working on the power steering though- I guess. Last time I talked to him he said "I haven't forgotten about you" and he was still tracking down parts. I turned it around in the driveway for her, but she drove it to Appomattox. Then I smelled the spot on the ground and it smelled like gasoline, so I licked one of the rocks and it tasted like gas too. It appears to be the fuel pump leaking. The fitting wasn't leaking, or the hose on the intake side, and it's just barely leaking enough to feel wet on the bottom, but I guess I'll put a fuel pump on it. I don't have much confidence in the parts you get nowadays but I'm going to get one. It's either that or just put an electric fuel pump on it and be done with it. I got one from NAPA- made in China, it leaked from the start. I got another one from O'Reilly's, made in China, leaked from the start. I ended up doing those, coolant sensors, thermostat, valve cover gasketrs, vacuum lines, coolant hose, I.A.C., Distributor, and..... oh yeah, the water pump...
