Not to hijack the thread but does anyone remember the Mack Freedom which was the next iteration of the Renault midliner? I think it was actually called a Renault Midlum. I think only sold for 2 or 3 years in the real early 2000s? My guess is when Volvo took over it was dropped....

Is this gas or diesel???? IF gas be sure to use ethanol FREE gas!! Laced with Sta-Bil... With regular gas the ethanol will separate, eat up rubber hoses, fuel pump & carbs rubber components, turn to brown sludge, and draw moisture..   If diesel add some algae killer just to be on the safe side.

You could transition to the Antique and Classic section. Not sure about North Carolina, but most states consider 25 years old to be eligible for Antique / Historical plates and insurance. If you are an ATHS member, Haggerty offers a discount.. What do you plan to do with it as these plates and insurance have some restrictions.

i remember when the freedom came out. I had just left the Mack shop in Portland Maine, and never worked on one. When I got to N.C. I did not see any at the Mack shop I worked at.
