Was the Ford L8000 available with the LTL style grill and lights from the factory? I just saw this 1991 on an auction website. Looks nice and like it came from factory looking like a short hood LTL. All of the other 1991  L8000 I have seen look like the regular single headlight version

That would make sense I’ve driven a few of them and I’ve always liked them so I usually notice them whenever I see one and I’ve never even noticed if I’ve ever seen that type of or not but custom nose is probably just just what it is… bob

probably mentioned I’d drove three of them and my day I really liked them nice looking dash nice looking cab cool steering wheel and they were very loud and very bouncy. Not sure about the bouncy at 69 ha ha.

When I was young starting out in trucking I drove LOTS of Ford's. They were very popular in this area for dump trucks. And all of them had Detroit's in them.

I ran them with 6V53, 8V53, and 8V71's. Then I finally got to run an LTL with a turned up 3406 Cat and the high level interior. That thing was awesome!

But like all trucks with steel cabs, rust was the death of them up here with our road salt.
