Good for you, it was ANZAC day in Australia today, you can Google if you like

I was out topping a paddock for winter and the weather man got it right

Wet through by the time I got back to the ute and off the tractor

Came home, got dry and "POOF" just like that, hours had past

So watched Burt Reynolds in the movie "White Lightning"

Then bed time

I'm gunna be bloody hopeless if I ever retire

More rain today, recliner chair is looking comfy

Can’t come up with anything around here for pitman arm removal rental I’ve got a bunch of scrap metal and 3 welders I’m probably gonna try to put some thing together to pull it off

don't forget to back off the set screws on pitman arm. a good jaw puller

Loosen the nut about 1/4" of gap, and strike the top of the pitman arm on that rectangle spot. Use a 5# mallet.  It will pop loose.

clue me in Sir 🤪;; on a DM600 pitman arm memory seems to be two 5/16 set screws on back side of pitman arm to which main purpose is to  secured pitman arm to steering box output shaft ??   when box removal is main objective the arm need not be disconnected from pitman ????

Sheppard used three different pitman arm retaining methods, you have to know which of the three you are dealing with.

Oldest had no nut and two set screws angled out from the box side of the arm.

the next style has a hex nut (allen head) and a star washer/retaining tab behind the nut.

The last style has a big hex nut that is split half way through and has a small bolt to "squeeze" the nut so it can't back off
