However I'm extremely proud of what my shop did with this project for me personally... Auction purchase I was going to use for parts, walked out to my yard with a jump pack, hooked her up, wa-la motor started right up... Decided it was worth fixing up... Been a Mack guy since I started with trucks hauling cow manure (MR's basically)... Got into putting farm trucks together, as a few of you know, still pumping and hauling sh*t, besides putting farms trucks together, and sand blasting and painting.. I've been blessed by an excellent group of employees bringing a wide range of skills and capabilities to the table. They don't get near enough recognition for their talents. But here is just a token of that.... recognition... This is not a "perfect build" but nicest truck I personally have.... I'm not a "trucker" in the traditional sense have hardly any miles under my belt, just the occasional "auction purchase I need to pick up"... Remanned Tranny (upgrade from T2180 to T318) I am in need of some minor electrical help... Dash tach and speedo giving grief... lots of diagnosing yesterday, (I think its mostly dash, but not fully convinced yet), but in the process of diagnosing, i tried a different VECU , then went back to the original, now I've lost throttle.... Information about integration between the ISX and the Mack side is elusive at best... looking for anyone that might know if throttle is broadcast via 1939 to the isx from VECU, or if it passed though VECU as throttle voltage to the Cummins computer.... Still didnt fix Tach and Speedo, but thats minor potatoes....To heck with it I'm gonna go burn some gas through the Sidewinder..... How much restoration cold it possibly need ?
