Any body know who was the OEM supplier for the shocks in 1980 for MACK?  Paul

I believe that Monroe had the bulk of the deal but Gabriel had a taste also.

So Monroe Yellow or Black  or Gabriel White or Red.  :thumb:

I think all the shocks for my MACK'S over the years , have  been Monroes. Starting with my '79 R612St . When I would  stop at my local dealer for a set, they would always  give me some fresh Monroes. Al

I've got Monroe on the R and Marmons,  DElco on the  CCC/AM General but I'm doing over my R as factory fresh and want at least the OEM color of the shocks off the assembly line in 1980.

On my '90 RD, the shocks  were painted black along with  the  chassis, when brand new. That was the way it came from Oakville, anyway. Don't  know if the same method  was used in '80 or not,Paul?  Al

I honestly have no idea. The photos of the truck when it was brand new the shocks appear to have color, but if I blow it up it's not definate. The 1975 catalog shows red  or blue on the R and white or yellow on the Cruiseliners. Probably do them Monroe Yellow just for the impact.
