Freq counter shows 19 but can't hear anything or they sound off. Go to 18 to get 19. But 1 person was like your loud and proud that night escorts couldn't make out anything so I just followed them. rsb502 Posted September 16, 2013 Share Posted September 16, 2013 I never could keep a ham going, I had a couple galaxy's and a mirage but they always seemed to have some silly issue or need to be calibrated so I always went back to the stand by Cobra 19, I have two of em, both cranked up, one had upper and lower side band in it but i pulled it back out, they are peaked,tuned and have talk back and these are old CObra 19 classic radios not the newer lighted face digital crap, I think one of em is a 1989 and the other is a 1998 model. I havent really had any issues with either of em, they just seem to be the energizer bunny of cb's, was fun to go way up on the high side of 32 and get to talking to friends back when I had all that crap though.
