bluebonnet Posted July 31, 2012 Share Posted July 31, 2012 I need to find a replacement oil filter cartridge for my 58 B 61 with the 711 engine. I have tried all the local parts stores and no luck. Superdog Posted July 31, 2012 Share Posted July 31, 2012 I'm guessing they would have tried H&L Mack and NAPA,but I've had good luck getting odd filters from NAPA.They used that big canister on several engines for years,somebody's gotta still make cartridges. Maddog13407 Posted July 31, 2012 Share Posted July 31, 2012 yup, dual flow, got mine from Napa about 2 months ago. 35 bucks and some change. have them look it up in the book and get the one for dual flow as there is about 3 different 750 lubrifiner filters. theakerstwo Posted July 31, 2012 Share Posted July 31, 2012 It this filter has three lines on the bottom it is a full flow by/pass combnation and mack # is 236GB311AIt has two oil lines on the bottom it is a partion flow oil filter which is luberfinder 500Both can be had at mack or wicks makes them. bluebonnet Posted July 31, 2012 Author Share Posted July 31, 2012 I found a Baldwin P 706 M at T.H.E. Company in Mt Pleasant Iowa, about 30 miles from home. They had eight of them in stock. No local companies had anything in stock and would had to order. Its already installed and as soon as the weather cools off I will fire it up to check for leaks, this evening probably.
