Sears closed its 900,000 sq ft distribution facility in Greensboro about 20 years ago. Maybe the same time they quit publishing the catalog. They said the mail order business was dead and never coming back. About the same time Al Gore invented the internet. Timing is everything!

You could weld a nut on either end of the stud and turn it out if it is threaded in. If you find is's a spline, then put a nut on the back side and a steel block (or hammer head) between the end of the stud and the drum flange and push it out buy turning the nut off.
