  3. Sounds like a great way to spend a day. I don't understand this "We" BS though. Looks like he did all the work while you were taking pictures. The first track machine I ever ran was a D2 like that with an aftermarket loader. It had a pony motor with a pull rope.

  5. Don't worry about it.
  6. And how would you know this?
  7. Vinny, I don't think you've annoyed anyone. Fact is you've done a pretty good job dealing with the crap these guys have sent your way.
  8. Great pics and story. Is that the trailer Roger has now?

  13. I use a jack to remove and two studs (or bolts with the heads cut off) for installing the cups. Simply install the studs, then the cup, remove the studs and install the cap screws. If you have full thread studs, you can pull the cap in with two nuts and a deep socket.

  15. What would be the benefit of a CH chassis over a R chassis?
  16. "while looking for a picture of a specific LT-Mack" Ya right. From the second picture it looks like "midget" was in your search.
  17. Happy Easter! Looks like another great spring day in sunny NC.

    Profitability:

That's what the twelve year olds in the hood say when they see a '72 Impala with $10,000 worth of wheels and bicycle tires go buy.

  21. The R700ST was the same because that truck was most likely a tractor. The R700S was a 10.5" frame. 1.5" higher than the others and most likely a straight job with more after frame.
  22. Welcome to another Tarheel! I have a "Mack Engineering Publication" dated 12/78 that shows the frame for the R400-600, R700ST, and U600-700 are all the same. The F700, R700S, RD400-600-700, DM400-DM600, DM800, RM4004-RM6004, DMM600-DMM6006-RM600, and RM6006 are all different. One thing you will want to pay particular attention to is the combination of the front engine mount, front crossmember, spring hangers, and raditor mounts. Most of those changes came in the '80's with air ride cabs, front mounted aftercoolers and aluminum front covers on the engines.
