  1. What event were these pictures taken at? Does Mack still have the show at the Hagerstown plant in the fall?
  2. It has a power divider. It doesn't have a manual control. The power divider will engage itself as needed and provide power to the front axle. Running on the road there is only power to the rear axle.
  3. If the wrecker is plumbed like a tractor, you can run the red line to the wet tank. When you release the trailer parking brake on the wrecker it will pressurize the entire system of the towed vehicle. Then you can release the parking brakes of the towed vehicle. The blue line from the wrecker can run to the service brakes of the towed vehicle and be applied from the wrecker when in motion.
  4. The CL has the RW frame but not with the axle foward. Did the Titan come from Marmon or did Volvo engineers come up with it on their own?
  5. Hey Kid, If you want to pay for it, I'll build you a CL with a superliner frame. Extended hood, axle foward and the drive line of your choice. We'll call it the "Superliner III".
  6. If you'r talking about the T2010, they're like the T2090. Low isn't as low and high isn't as high. They were designed as a highway only trans. The T2090 is an on/off road box and that's why they are more popular.
  7. See if you can fit in one before you buy it. Buy something you like and will enjoy. Don't base your decision on what might be worth a couple of extra dollars in the future.
  8. Why do you want to shorten the wheel base? It's not going to help the ride.
  9. What makes it a new model? It looks like a CH axle foward with a lot of chrome. All other specs seem to be the same.
  10. Look on Ebay at the Peterbilt on a Chevy frame with a Cat 3306.
  11. If it was possible, I would drill new holes in the bracket or build an adapter plate. More holes in the frame would be the last resort.
  12. 36k payload plus 22k truck is 58k gross. You probably have a 12k front axle and a truck that statred it's life as a tractor. With 46k on 38k rears, something has to give.
  13. The only thing missing is the diagonal line in the grill.
  14. A CDL is required if the GVW, as stated by the manufacturer, is 26,000 or more. You can license the truck for any weight you want, up to the manufacturer's GVW. If you get stopped and "the man" opens the door and reads 26,000 or more on the door tag, you better have a CDL. We had a driver stopped here in NC with a CDL but didn't have the air brake endorsement. The ticket was $125. The DMV officer told the driver if he saw him leave with the truck, the next ticket would be $1000!
  15. I purchased a new 85 model MH in the fall of 84. It had a 2V 350 with chassis mounted air to air. It also had round headlights.
  16. The only thing the "sales guy" is thinking of is $$$$$$$. They get paid on commision.
  17. What about the retired Doctor, that has never even driven a pickup truck, but can go buy a 50,000 lb RV with air brakes and head for Florida without being required to have a CDL?
  18. How would a Cat 3208 work in a pickup?
  19. The Mack T200 series, 5,6,7,and 8 speed are .60 to 1 overdrive.
  20. I passed the engine plant in Hagerstown today. From I-81 you can see the water tower. It now has VOLVO painted in larger letters than Mack. The begining of the end is here.
  21. The CL has the same frame as the MH and Superliner II. That's why you see them with the E9 and non Mack engines.
  22. A & A Truck Parts has advertised 1200R24 mounted tires. Their number is 732-780-4962.
