  1. Sweet truck. What transmission?
  2. nope, I should though and put it up in the picture window as one of my Christmas decorations though. I'm betting my better (allegedly) half would not like that at all. That would be something to see. Maybe have to make a trip back east to see.
  3. Was going through and deleting pics on my iPad when I came across this screen shot I took when I was lamp shopping.
  4. Thanks for the close ups. That is a really sweet setup. Nothing that pretty on the freightshakers I drive, hell the truck I drive grosses 131,500 and the company won't go for an 18 speed much less anything nice like that deck and headache rack, oh well another rant for another day. Thanks again for the pics.
  5. I like that aluminum headache rack and deck on your friends Pete. Really like that dodge wagon too.
  6. Ok thanks guys, at a glance driving by I was sure it was a B. I may have been assuming it a B because that producer does run 2 R models (I'm sure they were Macks since I could read the lettering/emblems )
  7. What's the give away from that distance that says International? (Besides the emblems )
  8. I'm not seeing a delete button there but thanks for the help.
  9. Apparently everytime i tried to post this thread and it timed out and gave me some error message it actually posted. Sorry for the mess on the forum. Will a moderator please delete them? I will work on getting the pics to show up as well.
  10. I spotted a pretty nice looking vac truck in the rain while driving to my second load and snapped a few crappy pics. Sorry about the pics quality. Enjoy.

  12. never underestimate sleazy lawyers and insurance companies that give them cash awards for being sleaze bags. Few years ago one of my dads log trucks was making a left hand turn on a five lane highway and had the left turn only green light. He made the turn and an oncoming car in the far right lane blew threw the light and crashed into the drivers of my dads truck. An off duty HP saw it happen and filled out a statement and the other driver was at fault and had to replace both axle housings and rims. 2 years later dad gets served with papers from the lady's lawyer sueing him for "pain and suffering" that she caused mind you and his insurance company settled with her! Go figure.
  13. The headache rack on that log truck makes me laugh. With a load like that what's the point?!
  14. True, when i worked at the co-op we pulled loaded cars of fertilizer to the pit with a pick up.
  15. some neat old oil field trucks. If I had money (or anything but pudding between my ears as my wife has stated ) I would definitely buy the cornbinder with the body tank and the pup that goes with it. Its like what i drive only 60 years ago or so.
  16. I will have to scan in some pics of my dads logging equipment. He had a beautiful D6B model dozer which was his first piece of equipment that he owned. He kept that ole girl for years and used it for decking in the landing, and clearing and piling brush and smoothing the landing for the log trucks. He got rid of it about 10 years ago when some guy saw it sitting at his shop offered an obscene amount of money so dad took it. He still has a D6D and a late model D5H high track model equipped with a swinging grapple and it has a ton of clearance under it. I am guessing there are "skidding" models and dirt work models which is why that why sits so high? Anyway cool thread, I love old iron.
  17. Well after a nice weekend with my family camping at Tiber ice fishing the topic of me selling the Mack came up. I told my dad there was interest in the truck but most people didnt want to travel this far to pick it up which is understandable. At any rate my dad said he had mentioned my selling of the Mack to my grandma and she was upset to see that I was selling it just to help them out. My dad told me that the truck was not in the way under the lean too and if I wanted to fix it up still that I should keep it. As you have probably already figured out I am keeping the Mack and if all goes well maybe I can get it over here this spring or summer. I know for sure once my wife finishes her degree I can get it over here since both of us will be working. At any rate I am very glad to still have the truck and look forward to getting it over here to work on.

  20. Hi guys, I know its been awhile since I been on here and since I promised to stop by every once in awhile I thought it was time. Last I was on here I had just started my new job hauling crude oil from the oil fields to a pipeline that eventually flows to a refinery in Laurel, MT. The job is going great! Excellent money, excellent bennies that transferred over and I work my 40 hrs in 3 days!! Its awesome only working 12 days a month!! Okay I will quit rubbing that in . I have been keeping busy, just go back from a week visit to my parents and my grandpa. The doctors gave him some semi-experimental drug that has to be taken within 4 hrs of a stroke to be effective. Dad and Gramma decided he should try it and the results were excellent! He was home in about 2 weeks and has recovered dang near 100%. His left ring finger and pinky are a little week but do function. Its blizzarding here today and it was a miserable Blankity-Blank to drive in. Low visibility due to blowing snow and snow "dust" from oncoming traffic and about 4" of snow covering the road. I was driving one of the A trains today and they suck on anything but dry pavement. They are 107' long, have 11 axles and can haul about 260 barrels (about 10,920gal) legally. As you guys can probably guessed unloaded the truck has NOOO drive tire traction, loaded drive tire traction is a little better but now you have 7 heavy axles to drag thru snow and mud and to add insult to injury you cant turn it just pushes when the pusher axle is down. When I got home tonight I came home to a big snow drift so I took advantage of the beautiful stormy night and went out into that cold, crisp air and fired up my old Ferguson tractor and commenced to cleaning up snow. Before I finished up and put my tractor away I noticed my neighbor had a ginormous drift that I couldnt help but dig into and clean it up for her. I love plowin' snow (when its a hobby at my leisure) and like helping my neighbor out. Any how I hope all is well in the BMT world. Vinny hope your truck is coming along well, Otherdog still love seeing your pics and Slpwlker still enjoy reading your posts and comments. Have a great new year guys. Be in touch soon. HeavyGunner
  21. Up for sale is my 1957 B 75 Mack. It was a former government truck which what I was told the low mileage is correct (about 53k). It it a twin screw tractor with a brownie and a thermodyne turboed engine. Pretty clean straight old truck. No rust to speak of. Been stores in shop and under lean too for 20 years or so. I am taking offers on the truck. Thanks. P.s. there are pics under my profile HeavyGunner.
  22. its a twin screw truck and I dont know what the suspension is other than leafs.
  23. My grandpa told me years ago that the truck had been used as an oiler for chip sealing highways in the Flathead valley. That is why he said the miles are so low (53k if I remember right). I cannot attest to that mileage being correct but I think it's believable when you look at the minimal wear on the floor boards and pedals but again I can't guarantee the mileage.
  24. Maybe it's under my garage. I will try and check tonight, doesn't seem to have my garage on the phone here.
