  1. Are you running twin breathers on your Superliner, or the single one under the hood? Does it smoke? I'm thinking about looking into some of Dale Francis' upgrades in the future on mine.
  2. Been Trying to get the E9 to come to life after being out of the truck for 5 years now. I've kept the block full of antifreeze all along to try to prevent o-rings etc. from drying out since it was a fresh rebuild before accident. Poured a bunch of oil/Lucas mixtre back through the turbo oil line over the last couple weeks and poured some down through the turbo, oil pressure is coming up good while turning it over with the starter. It's just being a bit stubborn to prime the fuel system, It's drawing a bit out of the filter now, I just came in to give the batteries and starter a break, I need an extra set of hands to blow a little air through the tank whe I try it later. It's a bit tough to get fuel up through the new draw line, not to mention the injection lines what bit of fuel is still in them is a bit stale after 5years. Hope to have it running today or tommorrow.
  3. I seen that thing a MATS in Louisville a few weeks ago. I got one of the toy trucks of it they were giving away. It's kinda funny looking, looks like a GMC Cannonball from the 50's. I think I'll pass on it.
  4. If I was done my Superliner resto I'd seriously think about it, but I only need one project at a time. I already turned up a couple farm tractor resto projects recently. Nice thing is you're in Ontario, nice and easy for me to get home, no border to deal with. Maybe I'll win that damm Lotto Max soon, then I could have a few projects around. Wishfull thinking. Where is Sweets Corners? I've heard the name before, but can't think of where it's at.
  5. Frames do soak up a lot of paint, more if you use black epoxy primer, and cover it with a lighter colour, like red. Thats what I did on my Superliner frame, it ate up a good 3 gallons. Your MH looks real good, makes me miss mine.
  6. About 3hrs around the lake for me. I'll keep it in mind. Bet my dad would like to go too,he cut his teeth on alot of that kinda stuff, but he's never went and got his Passport to come over, so my brothers and friends and I been going to event in the US for a few years without him now. I'll be going to Sealmaster in Sandusky inthe next couple of weeks to pick up a truck I left there last week. Too bad we could'nt postpone that trip till then and have a mini vacation 30 miles south of home. Is the annual HCEA show in Bowling Green this year?
  7. I finally made it down to Louisville this past weekend for Mid America Truck Show. Lots of stuff to see there, I alomost bought a stainless visor and set of pipes for the superliner, but works been slow lately. I'll definately go back. next year. Anyone else go this year?
  8. Hey Clay, My cell # is (519)-999-4706 My name is Dan give me a call. I'll make you a deal you can'y refuse on the visor. It's avoided the burn pile a few times, and I'm not going to use it anyway.
  9. I have one just like it up in my shop if you're looking for one.
  10. I put a RTX15715 Fuller in my Superliner, and it's out of my MH cabover that got wrecked, so the airlines from the tranny to shifter got cut off by the towing company that pulled the engine and trans out of the wreck for me in trade for the remaining carcus of the truck. I got a tower and stick for the convetional on it and it's in the truck. I was wondering if anyone had a plumbing diagram or can tell me where the 3 airlines from the shifter to the tranny go?
  11. A MH CH CL doors and door glass is interchangable. Windshields are not MH is wider and deeper.
  12. I'm not sure but I'll look into it later this week. I can't see it being that much I'm only across the lake from you. It's a drivers side. Not that easy to get. I've had it in the shop for 5 years and I had a hard time to get one when I was looking for one.
  13. Mh windshield brand new make an offer. Dan (519)-999-4706
  14. I'm looking for a bottom rad tank for my 89 Superliner E9 V8. Any one have one? MH one Will work too E9 application. Dan (519)-999-4706
  15. Just another money grab from our wonderfull communist ontario government. You have to pay every year and renew your CVOR, Never had to do that till a few years back. Ontario is also the only place that makes drivers take a written and driving test annually at age 65 we loose a lot of experienced drivers to that. makes it more scary out there on the road all the time with the idiots tha replce them.
  16. I don't see why 90 psi would hurt anything my E9s run 80psi going down the road under load and 35to 40psi at an idle.
  17. Left side looks like she's been jack knifed , must have side swiped or been side swiped with something high in the process to do that kind of damage to the right side. does'nt look like it hurt the front wheel bumper or air tank though. By the way don't throw those aluminum air tanks out if thet're any good, very hard to find good ones for MH.
  18. should be 35 to 40 lb at idle and 60 to 75 when reved up depending on rpm.
  19. I've got an overhaul manual here, I'll dig it out and see if I can get it posted for you. Not too tough of a job to rebuid shift cylinders there on a plate at rear of trans. hardest part is getting them in and out of truck. If I remember right you have to center the reverse piston by turning the adjustment screw on the cylinder all the way in and backing it out half the amount of turns it took to turn it all the way in.
  20. Looking for front piston cooling oil crossover tube, and top piece off of oil pump outlet tube that bolts to block, and attaches to front piston cooling oil crossover tube. if any one has some extras around they would part with, let me know please. (519)-999-4706 thanks, Dan.
  21. Probably slipped an o-ring on one of the shift cylinders on top of transmission. not expensive yo fix, last kit I bought cost about $25.
  22. What's the colour or paint code for a 92 E9 with the Robert Bosch inline pump the darker grey?
  23. I have a remaned one on the shelf if you're interested (519)-999-4706 Dan.
  24. The F model I would agree with Rob and weld it up no reason why you can't bevel the bottom of that framre and tie it into the other still. As for the superliner, I've scraped a couple of those 1/4" double frames and when they get that much crust in between the rails like that one they are almost rotted through so when you sandblast them they'll be to thim if you don't blow through them. I'd change the rails. depends what you want to put into it. I'd say the F is an easier fix.
  25. A friend of mine's dad has a British Field Marshall Diesel that starts with a shotgun shell. He's been loading his own and getting by but he's looking for a north american supplier to get the proper starting cartridges. He said he can get them from England but they won't ship them over here. If anyone might know wher e he could get them over here he would really apprieciate it.
