  4. oh,maybe so,but those new conventionals...oh my god terrible..i was stuck in one at my old job for 5 years i hated it,,if i knew they were going to start buying those,i never would have hired on...but i know alotta guys like em,especially your younger croud..if you can get around the hitious.body style,i still dont think thier very driver freindly..back window too high, log book teeters on the steering wheel, cant reach your lunch box, passenger seat, hard to clean windows,no hand rails, nothing to grab onto, climbing up to clean winshield.too much glass, sun beats you to death, hot days..bob
  5. ya,,know what you mean,,i grew up there,,now when i visit,everthing looks so tight back there..lol bob
  6. it sounds like your guage grounding, try running a wire.from back of guage, and touch it to something steel inside dash..also its hard to get the engines to build up any heat,,without a load...sometimes about 140 is all they will hit..good luck...bob
  7. ya,,man.driven quite a few of those freightliners out here,i actually liked them..out here lets face it,you just have to get used to other makes..like almost nobody buys macks here..bob
  8. i would try watts junk yard,,or run a wanted ad in classified.on this site,,theres allotta parts available for that truck.also new parts, right from dealer still available.good luck.bob

  16. hey welcome aboard,,i saw the sac,and thought i had a new neighbor,,,not to many of us mack fans this way,,hehe..nice pickup,,,have fun...bob
  17. also generally, when it looks like thier going from 2nd to 4th,on the augsilary its an overdrive transmission ,thats the way thier setup thier actually going from lo to direct, then the up position is overdrive, good luck bob
  18. the reason for that,is its the same gear ratio as the gear you were in..such as the ten speed duplex, generally you skip 5th low,and go from 4th hi,to 5th hi..if you try to go from 4th hi,to 5th lo,its like going back to 4th hi,you dont gain anything,,now how confused are you???????lol, hopefully that all made sence,,,good luck...bob
  19. wwhat a buncha show offs,lol.bigen thats a beautiful set up..bob
  20. to whom it might concern,i work for fedex freight here in reno, and right now,i think thier about to order a bunch of trucks,,maybe you can send some pushy salesman over there and sell them some macks, now that we have a deealer here, might be a good time, bob
  21. ya,and just like he says,,at least thats the way it was on the older doors,,and the sides, and top there were push in plastic snaps, every 8 inches or so,,pry a little section out,and just yank the rest of it out,and the window, and regulater.have to come out to expose screws..get a six pack n have a ball...bob
