  1. That’s pretty creepy. I missed this somehow but I haven’t been on here that much the past few days. Glad it all worked out. We have so many stupid people here now thinking it’s only gonna be a matter of time before somebody wipes out my Mustang.and possibly me
  2. That sucks. Glad it was minimal damage. I had that happen to our microwave oven just a few minutes ago. I made this really growling noise and then it started smoking. I was standing right there in front of it so I just unplugged it and threw it outside. yes that’s pretty scary that stuff like that goes on and the circuit does not flip
  3. Wow, that’s a pretty good price. I’ve never seen one for sale. Thanks for that.
  4. Wow, hats off to all the detail. I look at my frame once in a while and think one of these days I’ll have to get into that thing if I live that long, it’s mainly just a lot of dirt caked up absolutely wonderful detail you got there thanks for sharing. That sucks about the tubing sizes.
  5. Yeah I noticed that too … you wonder if was originally a freight hauler looks real good thanks for the picture
  6. Well, Alrity then yes you have to invest a few bucks to do it right … bob
  7. You should go old school get a bunch of silver grey paint and a roller Roll over the whole box mask off the moldings not sure how old you are but back on that day. They were all just plain aluminum. I don’t know when they decided to paint everything white.
  8. Excellent thanks for that. Great advice. And yes the outer seal is kinda in the middle
  9. Excellent usually ZEP truck wash will take off lettering heat gun for plastic labeling , striping also time consuming for removing the plastic but it slides right off with the heat gun but no matter what you do you’re still gonna tell we’re all that stuff was. Your not going to avoid shooting the box with fresh paint. Thanks for the updates. I really like it myself.let’s giterdone… bob
  10. Sorry, I forgot to log out last night. I was just going to change the rear seal The outer seal looks like it’s in pretty good shape. I hadn’t really thought about it. Also, I looked up the cross reference to 2129 and it says there’s no such animal.
  11. After I cleaned up the brake shoes, then took a shower changed my clothes I went to a small car show just down the street now getting ready to barbecue probably start cleaning the drum and hub a bit tomorrow see if I can get any grease in the S cam
  12. Lol that’s an understatement yes I’ve got quite a bit of clean up inside there I was also wondering about just what that recessed area so to speak was all about so thanks for that
  13. But I did spot on Google search where the seal number was cross referenced to something else
  14. I have books out of my workshop, but I don’t think they’re gonna tell me anymore than I need to know.
  15. Well, that’s funny Joey cause I know absolutely nothing about the B model
  16. Oh, it’s just gonna pull the band off and bring the seal number and the band down to fleet pride Monday
  17. Well, it probably is one step up from a B model since it’s a 66 and they were still building the B model beginning of the year so it probably got the same rear ends
  18. Well I was just about talked into getting new shoes but like magic just a splash of gasoline and brush both shoes cleaned up amazingly just like magic oil completely disappeared and thiers lotsa life left thanks for all your suggestions fellas looks like seal kit is all I need
  19. And for sure, Tom, I like the chicks
  20. Man, that C model has got some nice looking sheet metal that would be really nice for somebody
  21. Thanks for that Barry. I’m afraid he’ll have a little trouble getting that much for it but best of luck to him …. Bob.
  22. Good point about the spoiled kids, but on the other hand, everything is so expensive these days when I was drawing 100 dollar paychecks along with a lot of other kids back in those days you could buy cars all day long for 100 bucks now they’re lucky to do 300 bucks a week check and everything out there is at least 2000 bucks for a beater so most cases these days parents have to help out with their first purchase at least but yes, a lot of them go way overboard these days
  23. Yeah, thanks for that. I used to have a spring tool for a car. I don’t know if I still have it. I can’t find it. I’ve got way too much shit around here and I could never find anything. I lost my grease gun when we moved here 20 year ago it’s out there somewhere
  24. And yes there’s only one spring at the top bottom is pins with snap rings
  25. Yes I got a tank it’s got dirty cleaner in it right now and yes I ordered 5 gallons of soap for it from Amazon it’s very powerful and yes you have to wear gloves otherwise it burns my skin
