  1. Thanks for all your suggestions. My little 3/8 rod is not going to work for some reason. I was thinking the both holes went through the case and were open on the other side. No, they are not sub scratch that running around done going to eat them and run out there
  2. Ha ha, hell put that thing back in the closet about a month ago Mrs. mower was bugging me. Hey fat stuff either put that model together and get it off my kitchen table, but thanks for the peptalk.
  3. OK, I found the perfect specimen out of my workshop. Looks like a old carburetor linkage maybe a kick down lever 3/8 course thread about 8 inches long that should do it more progress in a while.
  4. And yes, I’ve adjusted the chain three different times trying to get the right angle. Getting really frustrated since my long awaited. Summer is going away. I’m struggling to think all I’m gonna get done this summer as the staring box and a rare axle seal and it’s gonna be too cold to do anything With a fiber glass
  5. Thanks I think I’ve talked myself into running a smaller bolt through one of the holes first I think I have a big chunk of 3/8 threaded rod. I have to go out take care of a couple of things. I’ll take a look and see if I have it handy, if not, I’ll stop and pick something up. Thanks for that Dave.
  6. I was also thinking of pushing a smaller bolt through everything and tightening it with a nut that way it would be somewhat lined up and at least Straight
  7. And yes those 2 heavy shims are not helping at all
  8. lol thanks for that I did find a chunk of steel right before I pulled the plug yesterday it looks like an old tire chain wrench that looks like it’s a perfect size to push through everything.. yeah I’m usually alone .. even if I had help someone would have to be laying underneath and wouldn’t be easy to see what I needed him to do
  9. If you’ve got steel mirror brackets it’s going to be a lot easier
  10. I did not know that … bob
  11. OK, I finished the box brought it over with the engine hoist couldn’t get any bolts started clearly this is a two man operation and there’s only me. I’ll go out there and give it another shot in the afternoon. Got a couple of errands this morning.
  12. Excellent thanks for that…. Hard to believe your truck is that old.
  13. that MR trash compactor would be more appealing to me,,,or atleast thats what it looks like
  14. i assumed it was some sort of bug exterminator,,,,for commercial spraying,,,household,,,or farms even big warehouses
  15. God love you for the thought Larry. I don’t even wanna make a comment on this except for many hours of searching for parts and as you mentioned shipping bills best of luck that’s a big big order you’ve got there.
  16. As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I passed a brand new Volvo a while back and it looked exactly like the anthem
  17. And as far as I’m concerned, all Freight trucks are weird looking now.. bob
  18. That’s really weird. I got a spellcheck on my computer. I have to use it all the time.
  19. Well, the plan is to finish the box and put it back in today and then Friday go down and get two new lines made have it up and running Friday then start on rear end ha ha well, let’s see what happens
  20. Wow, thanks for that. Looks excellent Bob.
  21. Oh, forgot to mention our supermarket is also right in there. It’s a huge area with all kinds of retail, pet shop supplies, clothes shoes.
  22. Yeah, that doesn’t surprise me at all. We’ve got so many cars here now and everybody is in a big old hurry. This place is absolutely horrible speeding tailgating illegal passing running lights. It’s ridiculous here. I really don’t even like to drive anywhere I’ve mentioned before I only take my car out three times a week to the gym 5 miles each way and I hate even doing that. Fortunately, most of my business is on the way to the gym Home Depot FedEx shipping dentist. It’s all in the same area. As well as many restaurants we would like to trade with I feel your pain Dave. I ran down into LA many years and believe it or not with all the traffic they have down there. I had more incidents up here very glad to be done with roadwork.
  23. I’ve had very good luck with reception on the back of the cab or the passenger door these days with all the plastic it’s a little bit more difficult than it used to be our Peterbilts have a pigeon perch on both sides above the doors, makes it very easy to hook the cable and antenna up and run ithe cord through the door weatherstripping kind of hard to explain without being there to point out what I’m talking about
  24. I am not sure what to tell you I used to run a lot of CB radios. If it looks like it’s too difficult you might wanna just run it in the back of your cab. There’s lots of us that used to mount them on the slide bar where your airlines hang from Above the back window or just bolt the bracket to the back of the air shield and run your cord through the window, insulation side door and tuck it into the ceiling panel. But wherever you mount the antenna, the bracket has to be grounded on steel. You might need to run a ground strap from a bracket to wherever you can find anything steel back of air shells usually has both going into the cab. You can put the ground strap on one of those bolts. Good luck. Bob.
