  1. Probably mentioned there was an L cab sitting in front of someones property around 320 miles from here right on the main though way here to LA set up there for quite a while. All of a sudden last time we went through there it was gone. Southern California, I’m sure it was pretty clean
  2. OK, I’m lost. Ha ha good luck. Bob
  3. I’ve mentioned before I have three welders that I’m not very good at it. I’m still learning at least the past the stage where it looks like bird shit and actually have a little bit of flowing bead…. Bob
  4. That’s what I would do. I would just pull it off and redo it. Yes, unless your the luckiest guy on the world find one really close super clean but then $$$$$. If you’re good with the welder, you’re almost better off to work with what you got.
  5. I have the similar problem . time to start using some of the stuff . Electric horn kit bought 35 years ago I don’t even know where I put it . …. Bob
  6. Excellent thanks for letting us know. I remember you telling me you did quite about welding on that floor few years back. … bob
  7. Well, that thing looks like it has lots of life left. Good luck with it bud and yes, towing is a fortune. That’s not an option unless you’re working at local and don’t have to go very far…. Bob
  8. OK Larry it was $6,800 altogether. I thought I only had 40 feet turns out it was 68 feet all together.
  9. You did not mention it a whole lot of bodywork those things I guess they were pretty straight to be begin with
  10. I sold It that to a guy that said he was gonna use it in a commercial. I never did see it on television but the only reason I got rid of it was it had the old farm tractor rear end top speed was like 50 miles an hour. Body was absolutely rust free Southern California pick up no dance for what I remember. The body was pretty much real clean. I had three of those 48-51 and a 53.
  11. Thanks for that Joey the lines have had it. They just keep sucking air. I believe that’s the problem. I put everything away and went to the car show. Looks like it doesn’t get anything done this weekend. Made like five attempts I said I’m done told my pal with the El Camino I would meet him over there and it was getting late anyway by the time I got out there I’m not sure those lines are original. I don’t know, but they would hold up for 60 years. If that’s possible.
  12. I have a horn like that on my bicycle
  13. Almost missed all this great photos especially the swinging lungs yum… lol bob
  14. Do find it very directly the guy was all jacked up over these trucks and then jumping around like a little kid … all of a sudden nothing…

  16. Oh, I couldn’t get it started yesterday. I tried everything so didn’t do anything to it after I retired next Friday and and have plenty of time. I will pull up all the fuel lines and change them. I’m sure that’s what it is…. Bob
  17. I did answer your question yes after rereading my post it doesn’t look like I answered you I was only around 26 when that was taken that was a one owner 48 Chevy 1 ton had a 9 foot bed that was super stock original condition it had the old floor starter… bob
  18. Also, that was brand new fence redwood panels. I don’t know why they look like they’re all crooked on the photograph. They are not their straight as an arrow….. bob
