  1. It sounds like you know what your doin with the stuff so do whatever looks and feels right. I hate to see and old truck cut up but its your truckto do whatever you want with. What year is that deere you got? I'll be startin a restoration maybe this winter on a late 40s B. Theyre cool tractors with the hand clutch and all.
  2. Nice truck. What motors in that, it looks like thats jake brake switch on the dash. I could be mistaken though.

  4. That 7mm is gonna have a good bang to her huh?
  5. What day is better to be there. Im planning on coming on sunday but is the show any better on saturday?
  6. For the U bolts we just get on em good with the 3/4 gun and hit down on them with a big hammer.
  7. Thats one hell of a heavy duty truck.
  8. Rob, i dont have any cummins parts layin around. Any decent truck junk yard should have a handful of B series parts though.
  9. Mechanically injected cummins stopped getting put in trucks half way through 98. Dodge had a inline bosch "P" pump from 1994 till 1998 and before that they had a bosch rotary pump. That was 1988-1993. The P pump is the best because you can turn it up very easily, cheaply, and reliablely. All you need is one wire going to the fuel shut off selonoid on these motors to make them run. It would be very simple once you got it all bolted down and fitted right.
  10. I have an 86 Blazer, got a little 305 in her now but i want to put a 4 cylendar cummins in it. 4 speed trans, 4 inches of lift, headers and side pipes. She runs pretty good but i would still like to do that swap. I think i'd like to put a pto on it and run an air compressor of the pto. That would be pretty cool to do also I also ride dirtbikes, and im an aspiring mechanic so i have a lot of tools to buy.
  11. Just got mine a couple days ago. The shirt is nicer in person then it is online. It really looks good.
  12. I shouldnt have said anything, that E7 that i was talking about with 560k miles on it just dropped a valve a couple days ago.
  13. I just got it goin so its no big deal. I thought maybe it got some water in the cylendars because she wasnt crankin but i turned it over with a pry bar and then it fired right up. Must be a dead spot or somethin on the flywheel. The E7s have a hole in the flywheel housing that you put a gear in to crank em over. Works a lot easier because you get the gear reduction to turn it over.
  14. How do you guys normally crank em over manually?
  15. Is there a hole in the flywheel housing to manually turn over these motors like an E7? I havent had a chance to get underneath and check so i figured id ask on here. Its got a 711. With the E7 we have a gear that meshes with the flywheel to turn it over.
  16. I think mechanical e7's last year was 97 or 98. We had a 97 RD with a mechanical e7. As far as hours go we have a CL with an E7 460hp with 21k hours on it. 560 or so thousand miles.
  17. Cant help you with years but the E6 was 673 or so cu in and E7s are 728 cubic inches.
  18. Nice car, that thing must have moved along pretty good and sounded great.
  19. If it stays spoke wheels, one single 4 inch or so stack and not too much chrome it will look good, but chances are with what i have seen on that show it will have fancy budd wheels, 2 10 inch stacks and it will be shiny enough to make ray charles squint
  20. Where about are you? I might know where you can find one.
  21. Thanks, What cabs will work? any B60 series or 50 series? Would a B 81 cab work with modifications? I would also like to maybe do an air ride cab, how hard would that be to do? Im not sure of the clearances that there is underneath because my cab mounts are gone and the cab is sitting on the frame.
  22. I have a B 61 thats is probably going to need a cab. How many differnt style cabs are there? My thinking is that there is a contoured cab and a flat cab and thats it but is that true? A B81 and 61 have the same cab right? What other models share the same cab? Thanks Chris
  23. Thats gotta be weird the first time those tires came off the ground. I love how once you got it back on flat ground and the tires still didnt want to come down. Nice video
