  1. As i dont have a Mack yet, this is just one of the memories i have of growing up a truck Nut.Growing up In East Bridgewater Mass we lived on Central st,which as the name implys it was in the middle so everyone uses it to go too and from..There where many little and some big companys that ran B's one of these was "Hill" construction his 10 wheelers would rumble by all the time as kids we would run out and give the toot the horn sign to all the trucks. One day playing Football in the side Lawn the Hill trucks musta been close, they came by alot as the day went on we tired of getting them to toot and got busy playing ball when out of the blue my buddys start yelling and running.. the rest of us turned to see the whole dual wheel fron the passenger side front rear rolling towards us!!..It had snapped off and went flying it rolled right thru our game right into Mrs Sawyers garden(she was pissed) the dump stopped and we spent the rest of the afternoon watching them try to get the truck unloaded and on a wrecker..they struck me then as not the brightest bunch but it was fun and its one of the things i remember from the old days..Hopefully soon i will have a story about getting our 1st Mack Home
  2. Thanks gearheadgrrl...as nothing is writin in stone thats could be a route we can take..who knows maybe it will stay all mack..thats a possiblity too

My wife thinks i could be crazy...she thinks Im collecting as many american Icons i can before Im done here On planet earth!!! Winchesters...John Deere...Ford...Now Mack!..its all good My son and i will comence the search for a suitable truck to adopt as soon as the JD is done (early Fall) and as long as it takes to get her back kickin and whatever it takes we will do...with love... we take our Iron serious here
  4. Chris..I wont Be cutting up the truck, from the out side it will be all "B" the only thing that would be out of the ordinary will be the Motor/Trans...and Rack Body with the nice wood....How do you think Us Ford Guys Feel every time we see a 32 with a smallblock chevy in it?!?!!?

  7. Well Like the title says....gimme a chance to say Hi..My Name Is Dave and Im From Mass, been a motor head since birth 44 yrs ago...My 1st Ride was a 1953 f-350 stack truck and trucks its allways been..(except a Mustang here and there...and i still had my Truck) and My current Toy a Factory Five Cobra Replica Built 100% By Myself and my sons(and still have a truck)..Did a Ground up Resto/Custom 1972 VW super beatle for My wife amd Im currently about 80% done on My John Deere Model B...So what to do Next??? well My Dad and whos been Gone a Year Now allways wanted To do a Mack Model B...and My oldest Son Now 18 whos a Heavy equipment operater for His Grandad..wants something to "Cruz around" in...well a Model B Fits the Bill...BUT WAIT we want to build a toned down light/med duty short wheelbase rack body Custom/Resto....with a Ford/auto trans drive train...I dont know how you diehard Mack Guys are about such a Combo...But If i can put an Ole Girl back on the road with some New Bling and a LOT of attuide maybe you wont wanna kill me...yet...we want it fun and reliable..i get plenty Of Hot Rod with My Cobra so i dont need a 392 Stroker with dual quads(sounds good though) and it would only ever be used to bomb around in.. trash runs.. Ice cream trips and Cruz Nites ..so If anyone Has done something like this or knows someone who has give me a shout Believe me we will Not anger the Old Truck Gods with this...there will be one more Hunk of American Iron On the road for just the Love of it... I will be looking for a solid 6 wheeler...not to heavy..a B20?? any suggestions would be welcomed and i look forward to posting and contributing with everyone Thanks!!
