  1. That looks like a fun military truck project - I bought a truck like that one time at a local army depot and it was full of machine tools - a drill press, hydraulic hose machine, even a metal lathe. I just wish the fun of driving it had not worn off after the first 10 minutes!
  2. Tom - I could not see the new winch in the photos, or the interior of the truck - you might add photos of those to help? Good luck with the sale!
  3. Those are neat old ads - quote of the day for me is: "You awake really beat when you sleep on the seat" I can verify this is true, I once had a bad case of brown bottle flu and fell asleep on the toilet seat. I awoke feeling beat.
  4. Good progress Vinnster! I have been chopping silage all week and have been out of the loop, now I have to find this photo of you in weird shorts!
  5. I run into things pretty often, but at least the cows in the field don't have cameras: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/this-compilation-video-of-people-running-into-things-will-likely-be-your-guilty-pleasure-today/
  6. Check it out....... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160861595535&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3ASS%3AUS%3A1123
  7. That is only some of the photos I took, as soon as I get time, I will load some more...........
  8. They had a good (but short) walk through of that museum a couple of weeks ago on RFD. But I can tell that you really have to see it in person to appreciate it.
  9. Great trip! And the RC was in a GLASS bottle!
  10. Ha! You are observant! Did you also notice the rain coat above the fishing pole? When it comes to fishing, I am like the postal service used to be - neither rain, nor sleet, nor gloom of night stays this courier farmer from his appointed rounds fishing!
  11. Looking good! I can feel the anticipation from here! Post more photos as you go along......
  12. Now that is funny! Momma has a smoke and a g-string!
  13. I will consider it when it is the middle of an Iowa winter. I only crawl up in old sleepers and hunt rabbits when it is cold enough to kill off all the worms.
  14. Mike - Thanks again for letting me poke around in there - I just edited the post, I had it down as a EGU - I was so excited about it when you told me what it was I forgot! I was at a junk yard once and they were cutting up an old trailer that had that type of axle, each wheel would spin independently of each other, they were not bolted on together. Once again, I did not know what I was looking at, and it went to the furnace to come back here as a toyota gas tank strap!
  15. That money thing gets in the way of a lot of my fun! Greetings!
  16. Check this out: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/08/01/georgia-businessman-posts-sign-after-didnt-build-that-debate/ I like how he explains he said it in Chicago language so Obama would understand!
  17. Hey Ace - Do you remember when you were growing those fine toe-maters earlier this year and we told you about those new things called lawn sprinklers? Well, guess what? That same go-get-it place also sells these new fancy things some folks call tarps. You can use them to cover up your Mack to protect the paint or you can use them to cover your bod while taking photos - your choice. Do you mean to tell me that you met up with David in N.C. and all you took was one lousy picture?
  18. A friend of mine works for Peabody coal and he is one of those high-fa-lutin' efficiency expert engineers (kind of like RandyP). He was spec'ing out new coal trucks like those and they went with some brand other than cat because cat still used powershift transmissions in the size they wanted and they would all shift at the same place coming out of the pit. They were always having to fix the road where they would shift. WIth the new ones, they are saving gobs of moo-lah just in not having to work on the roads. I would never have thought of that........I guess that is why I am a poor farmer?
  19. Oh.........okay............we are still talking about trucks. I thought you were such a shutterbug that you started taking photos of your big dumps? That cat looks gay next to that sharp Mack.
  20. Good photo of your boy! I guess that is your son - or did all this midwest heat skrink you a little?
  21. That is just his alias. His REAL name is Wilbur. At least that is what the aliens told me........ He must have gotten the stud fixed in his engine if that is a current photo.
  22. I just love standing around looking at other people's stuff! Sounds like a fun day!
