  1. B42P? looks pretty solid except back of cab. def a 56, has the old style bicycle mirrors on it and the fuel tanks without the tread on them yet. those are early. 6 volt i assume? has the smallest weirdest battery box i ever saw. looks like non Mack but never know, could be made for one 6 volt battery.

  2. ok i know we have all watched it 10 bazillion times. was bored and watched it today. noticed at the beginning when dirty lyle pulls them in the bear port, when the camera zooms down twards duck's hammer foot the truck has two brake pedals! at the end of the movie when they are takin off from alverez texas, it has the regular Mack tredle valve and pedal. anyone know if this was a screw up or two brake pedals for some kinda stunt? also noticed when pig pen hits the ice cream truck, when he is tryin to slow down, the door is already layin in the street. and why the hell would the sheriff ''Stacey Love'' be in Texas in that shot chewing on his cigar when he was suppose to be hundreds of miles away in new mexico? just my pet peeves about a 35 year old movie . you watch it 5000 times, you pick up on stuff.

  3. nice. i see you have a 67 series transmission. that would make it a true B43 now. is that an 8000 series brownie box or a 6000 series? my B613 had a straight 5, 77 series with a 6200 series brownie 3 way. it was used for spreadin liquid asphalt so that way they would make it creep or go fast with overdrive. Keith from this site bought the brownie off me a few years ago for his R400.. have not hear much from him lately tho. what did he end up doin the the frame motor mounts? have 1/4 inche machined off? just wondering.. the number i have for the front engine mount donut out of the tidewater Mack catalog is 20QL242. this might be superceeded by a newer number but i know i bought two of them in the past two years ao they were still available.

  4. yup, thats right in my village, Longhorn trucking. guy rolled it last week, something happened with the trailer. guy has worked for them for 10 years and got fired after this. could have happened to a bigger piece of shit truck. truck has been at Albany Mack more than it has been on the road. they had so many problems with it that Mack sent them a new CH up to use as a back up tractor.

  5. yup, looks like it has a 711 in it with the lubrifiner up high. hard to get paint to stick to something thats been burned tho. tried paintin a dump box that had been burned, they paint would just not stay on it. maybe with some etchin primer and sandblasting it might help
