  1. Actually I think they are carrying more than just 9K behind the trailer axles when you take into consideration the slope of the trailer & the afore mentioned air pushing on the back side of that tractor. I once loaded my Kawasaki Mule & Pop-up camper on a tandem axle open car trailer. I thought I had the camper axle close enough to the trailer axles but I didn't. I made it to the 60mph speed zone & was real close to being upside down in the median of US 30 only 6 miles from where we started. I reloaded by backing the camper onto the trailer then running the Mule up some ramps we had with us over the tongue of the camper moving 95% of the weight over the axles and onto the tongue. A much nicer ride for the other 494 miles. The below picture was after the reload.
  2. My thought is they never made the scale house, about the time they hit 40 I would think that trailer would start whipping back and forth & they'd be lucky if they only ended up jack-knifed in the ditch...
  3. Is that an 11.1 or 12.7 S60? The 12.7's that I have driven would pull stumps and still get good mileage.
  4. For several years there were 2 or 3 White COE's with the cut frame and 15" wheels sitting on a property that was a closed lumber yard that was some how associated with FT Wayne Vehicle Auction. I never took pic's of them and I don't know what happened to them. They had some of the trailers too.
  5. Truck is 46 years old, I'm sure it has been repainted at least once. Or could have been a special ordered interior. A lot of interesting things going on in that truck. Placement of the tach is unusual. What appears to be 4 push in (Pete) style breakers & two push/pull knobs & a later model gauge in the glovebox door. Electric brake controller. I'm gonna 2nd that the odd gauge to the left of the wheel is for the lift axle. Is a B57 a short hood like a B67? It appears to be shorter and with the doghouse in the cab....
  6. There was a former Haliburton R700, same set up as this with a water tank on it near Garrett, IN for a long time, I stopped & inquired about it, "Not For Sale" I was told. 3 months later I seen it being loaded up and hauled away. A year later that construction company was closed and all assets sold off.
  7. Here are a couple from the Ft. Recovery, OH area. I am trying to get pic's of the day cab Cruiseliner & Ultraliner that these two units replaced. I have seen the pic's and hope to get copies of them on Thursday of this week and will get them posted soon after if I do.

  9. This one might be availible however the 8V92 appears to have been hydrolocked at some point, it can be aired up and pull started & will run but not well.
  10. I think the owner was posting progress pic's of that on the ATHS site when he began the project. I had forgotten about that project until now. The father of a friend of mine back in our high school days had an Astro with a droolin' dozen in it.

  15. The company at the time was called Wabash Fibre Box and was located in Ft Wayne, IN. When we won the lease we bought out the other leasing companies 671/10 speed powered Fleetstars and provided them with 300/5speed R Models. I believe we renewed twice with them which means 3 sets of trucks. This was the 1st group and the 3 group was some of the last R's that Parrish Leasing ordered before they went to CH612's.
  16. The trucks of my adolescent & teen years were IHC 4070 & 4070B's, Mack Cruiseliners & MH613's. Can also throw in Fleetstars (already owned one), R's & I drove U's as well. A friend of mine has a 4070B with an 8V92/10Speed that is close to what I'd like, I'd want to swap it out to a 13 as that is what our 4070B's had. Mike H already has a Cruiseliner that I'd like to have, but I don't think I can talk him into parting with it. 1st couple pics are Aaron's 4070B & Mike's Cruiseliner then some of our 4070's, U's & R's & an MH613.
  17. I'm northwest of Ft Wayne, IN. Just outside of Churubusco, IN.
  18. or hour meter?
  19. Well sadly I just sold my 1964 B Model Mack. This truck meant a lot to me. As a teenager I lot drove this truck and my dad & late father-in-law also drove this truck for Parrish Leasing. It was ordered new for E.W. Bohren of Woodburn, IN then traded to Meek Mack of Ft Wayne and Don Parrish Sr of Parrish Truck Rental purchased the truck and it remained with that company until I purchased it. Mike H. bought my F Model from me a couple years back and I sold my Fleetstar to a gentleman in Rochester, IN to use to pull his trailer with antique Farmall's and now a gentleman out of Warsaw, IN purchased this unit. I'm just glad nothing had to go to scrap.
  20. As usual it falls with the start of Ft Wayne, IN's Three Rivers Festival, besides I'm broke.

  23. Depending on where in Ohio. Toledo has Goody's Truck Parts & Central Ave Truck Parts. Koester's in New Haven, IN might be interested in rebuilding it. Just a couple thoughts.
  24. I forgot about taking pictures of these a while back. They are still running 3 MH613's out of Ft Recovery, OH.
  25. Thoughts and Prayers for Mike. In the blink of an eye, everything changes....
