  1. That's the bad thing about them but the time it saves tarping I can live with it.
  2. Well I got to try it out today. Had a load to Houston Pa. Got loaded and made it 5 miles out of town and had a clamp on turbo break and blowed hose off. Called the pit crew out put a new clamp on and made the trip without any other problems. Ran pretty good.
  3. I didn't get to try it out. I hooked it up Thursday and found the fifth wheel was slid ahead to far. I didn't have time to mess with it, I had to take a late load to Bedford, Pa. I got it slid back today and I think I'm ready to try it Monday.
  4. Chrome Depot in Mantua Oh has straight pipes they put mufflers in,looks like a corkscrew. That's what I put on my Superliner. I had around 1500 in everything pipes, mufflers, elbows, clamps, and mounts. Its a little louder than stock but not much.
  5. I got some at Summit but then I got on Amazon and found it a lot cheaper
  6. I got a picture of the old girl cleaned up (the truck not my wife). Hoping to get a Pa inspection sticker on it tomorrow. Should get the lettering done in the next couple of days but its going to work Friday with or without.
  7. Well after 4 14 hour days of working on it I think it might be ready for the road. It was definitely a Labor day weekend. Relined front brakes and drums(which I couldn't get until today, and they were ONLY $290 each). Found a bad wheel bearing, replaced all of them. Replaced exhaust pipe found bottom connection on muffler was bad couldn't find one Saturday so I cut one off another one I had and welded it on. Took air cleaner off to paint and found the one strap was bad, had to make a new one. Paint didn't quite match but it's better than rust. Put on a new steer tire. Changed oil and filters. Pulled off all the wheels and cleaned and painted them. Put a visor on. Wife spent a couple days cleaning inside and polished tanks and cab. Looks pretty good all cleaned up. I'll try to get a picture on tomorrow.
  8. Thanks for the comments. I hope it works out. The Ch is getting tired and it will be awhile before I get the Superliner back on the road. When I had my 84 r model I remember they had a recall on the 2090 so I was hoping they fixed the problem by the time this one was built.
  9. I went to Beckley, WV to look at it and then I had to have it. 89 R model 350, Mack 9 speed, 44,000 rears, wetline and only 157,000 miles. It was a WV turnpike truck. Its in pretty good shape. A little touch up paint an exhaust pipe elbow and a good cleaning and it should be ready to work .I have some pics of some older Macks The guy has if we can figure out how to get them off the wifes phone
  10. That's going to hurt in the morning
  11. I bought 2 alum. air tanks off ebay I think for $75 each. Hoping they'll work on my CH. They are like new.
