  1. i drive for an ltl company. i was in a 07 international with 1.3 million on it ran every day. you might have some little thing wrong but was fixed that night and back to work next day. newer trucks we have dashes light up buzzers go off and they're down for days or weeks. i took a 16 mack because i figured its only a matter of time until they retire the older ones even though they make money every day. i still say its smarter to rebuild the older ones.
  2. yea because new trucks never break down. the newest truck i owned was a 2000 and i ran year round never had a problem keeping a few bucks in the checkbook. new or old you gotta do some maintenance.
  3. b model is in Worthington, Pa
  4. international but i had a new anthem a year ago and gave it up. its not so much the trucks as all the beeping shit they put on them. back in my 07 international with 1.3 million on it, much happier.
  5. terminal manager couldn't believe i didn't like the new truck. still in it hoping i can get an older one this week.
  6. give me a 30 year old r model any day over this new junk. I'm in a 2020 now and i told them to put me back in an older one.

    Cab Replacement

I have some roof panels if your interested.
  10. Turned out nice. I put air ride under the cab of the Superliner I just sold. It did make a difference. I got lucky and found everything I needed off another cab. I still had to fab up some things because nothing ever just bolts on. I had to make the brackets for the firewall that the rollers bolt in. After everything you did to it should last you a long time.
  11. I saw a red granite in Warren Pa Friday . lt looked like a tractor without the fifth wheel and a couple big blocks on the back. Mack trucks on the door. i was sitting at a red light daydreaming when it came around the corner looked a little odd with the blocks on it and then i remembered this post.
  12. i had Alumitank make me a set for my 2000 CH
  13. why would someone replace this. thats a beauty
  14. It's looking good though. Taking the time will be worth it in the end
  15. The 50 wouldn't be gallons would it?
  16. Sorry about your dad to. He was 80 but I think he got around better than I do. Got cancer and was gone in 6 months. We were always working on something together. I guess you never know. I liked the Superliner but I liked my r models better.
  17. No that black one was the last r model I had. I also had a Superliner that I just sold last fall. I lost my dad 2 years ago and I lost interest in having my own trucks so went back to company I used to drive for.
  18. Thanks yours is looking pretty good to. I know what you mean about the Ch. I had one for 9 years and it was a very good truck but after i bought my orange r model I sold the ch.
  19. I thought the same thing when I put that one on. It was taking up room in the garage so I put it on and once I got the stacks on it wasn't to bad. I've only seen the truck once since I sold it and he put aluminum wheels on the rear. I hear he stretched it out now. I know he wanted to put a big bunk on it.
