  2. Well spoken GG,,,randy
  3. heh heh,,,If i dont quit tearing stuff up, am gonna need a couple of oil wells pumping on the side! I was gonna get ahead on pond today, started bout daylight, on my second load heard something slightly tinging the radiator fan, killed engine, looked under hood of old R-dumper and both bolts had broken under A/C compressor bracket and it was trying to climb into fan. The same 2 bolts hold water pump housing on too so I was pouring antifreeze. I tied compressor back and nursed in under the only shade tree in pasture for a while, have removed water pump, got one bolt out and will work on other one more tommorrow, its being stubborn. Thats what i get for trying to work on saturday i guess. It was 102 today, not a breeze stirring, if it hadnt been for that lone shade tree, I couldnt have stood it. Oh well, tommorrow is nother day. No rhasler, havent got A/C for excavator yet, gotta make some money first,,,later,,,randy
  4. heh heh,,,you got a good point there GG, i didnt think bout that, you may have saved my life, why, I could have been boiled alive! randy
  5. Have finished vacation, started excavating smallish pond with no-airconditoned yet excavator, am considering sealing cab of excavator up, filling it full of water, and wearing scuba tanks all day in cab to dodge the heat. How long does a tank of air last? I guess i coould run a snorkel out the roof, probably choke on the dust though. It hit 102 here today, am loading dirt, getting off, moving truck 300 ft, dumping, on and on,,,etc,,,later,,randyp
  6. Mark,, looks like I may have to move my "lagoon" business from the pond to the highway,,,randyp
  7. Wish I could stuff that in "Killer B", rob,,,,randy
  8. I have run some of the offroad dump trucks rhasler, thats all, have never owned any volvo equipment. The Volvo excavators have a really good reputation around here, but they are also very pricey. The dump trucks were very tough and powerful, I liked em,,,randy
  9. thas right,,we also stripped with 3 D-10'S, I have pics of them, will load them later and post them. The 9's were used more for road building and end dump support and such, cleaning up around shovels,,etc. randy

  14. heh heh,,,yeah,,I hear ya Mark. I think solid state ignition and fuel injection were 2 of the greatest things ever stolen from the captured alien mother ship! I was bout fed up with carbs and points anyway. randy

  16. hey, wassup rhasler,,,naw,,thas just remains of goatee, i bout worried so much i rubbed it all out. When they plugged leak in gulf, and my newfound fortune went belly up, just set me to worrying too much. randy
  17. I used to run all the big cats, but when I struck out on my own, I like Komatsu,,parts cheaper,,easy to work on and stout as an elephant,,,just my 2 cents. In the past few years, cat has had a real problem with electronics and computer programs on their equipment,,,causing lots of shop time,,,randy

  20. heh,,heh,,A guy passed me coming home from church today in an old dodge with a cummins, I swear he had 2 straight stacks coming out of bed behind back window that looked as big round as 55 gallon drums and stuck way up in the air. He had it firewalled, black smoke was rolling, and it was loud! It was just an old junky looking pickup and I think stacks may have outweighed it,,,,randy
  21. I still got my "dwell meter" and points tool bought from Western Auto a long time ago in a galaxy far far away,,,randy
