  1. We've all talked about the trucks Mack is selling "down under" and I think it would be in Macks interest if they sold them hear too. I think they would pull in a lot of customers,Tim Superliner and the Titan
  2. In dec. issue of Overdrive there are a bunch of odd trucks of which I've never seen before like the Strick cab-under....wow different,Tim
  3. Ford's new 6 litre seems to be working well with the boys I know that have them. I had a 99 power stoke and really liked it compared to my 92. My bother has the cummins and is on his third and will buy another he said. Two guys I know have the duramax(isuzu) and they'd buy another. So, it depends on what you like. I like my fords.Wouldn't own a GM,Tim
  4. So before the Superliner this was top dog on the porch,Tim
  5. Hi guys, Yup they fit on 44 rears. you may have to play with the clips on the hub caps once they're on so your sure they won't come off going down the road.Sorry,I don't have any pics. with them on my truck. I've taken them off and sent them to Andy in West OZ for his truck since I got them off an old B model I figured they should be back on one. I plan on ordering some from you Barry in the spring(the wife will be more understanding with flowers blooming),Tim
  6. I thought I've seen every type of R model but the RS is awsome being raised up. An RS with 12x24 rubber would turn a few heads,Tim
  7. Probably Because of these new laws, engine builders are forced to work and rework these engines to meet goverment regs. and we all lose out on power and dependabilty. The local fuel hauler in the area has new 475 and 550 twin turbo cats and is having problems with them(they have 10 problems). The local milk hauler has twice as many trucks with cummins isx and are having problems too,Tim
  8. I agree with Nigel, Buy a superdog witha E-9 and smile all the way up the hill,Tim
  9. Trent, those are some great pictures. The 800's were some awsome trucks. Trucks and trains, what a combination! Tim
  10. The coolest tranny I got to run was in a P&H 140 ton crane. In the lower it had a 400 cummins and a 20 speed spicer. Boy that thing could climb out of any hole!Tim
  11. Reading up on new trucks I was suprised by which trucks are costing more. A freightliner classic XL costs more than a peterbilt 379 which I couldn't believe. The freightliner cost more than the international 9900I and9900IX and KW W900L. All had about the same specs. Mack Rawhide was priced under $100,000 which was the least amount of the trucks published and I think you get more bang for your buck with the mack. The most exspensive was the Volvo VT880 going between 128 to 166 thousand which was a suprise to me. Mack and Volvo together may be a strong combination in a few years,Tim
  12. How things have changed over the years. You put a young person in one of those trucks now a days and they would laugh at you. The new trucks have got stuff the guys who started over the road and construction would have never dreamed of,Tim
  13. Red, it must be pretty cool to run around in that big equipment,Tim
  14. Howdy HK, Love your colors especially your rims,Great job Tim
  15. Trent, those are some wierd looking kenworths. I drove a crane carrier triaxle dump before. It was one of Roncarri's old trucks, boy that was pretty stange too.Tim
  16. I couldn't say it better JJ, but I'm sure Mack has tried for years to do just that. Just like the N-14 was a great engine but didn't meet goverment regs.,Tim
  17. Thanks Freightrain, brings back memories.I haven't drivin' a quad in a few years,Tim
  18. I think that all in all the small blocks have proven themselves and the 460 is a good engine in my opion but a true Mack big block we would all like to see. I don't think that will happen especially after Volvo,Tim
  19. I take back what I've said about the new trucks. Reading up on the granite specs I think it's a pretty rugged truck. 23,000 lb front X with permanently sealed hubs with synthetic grease and different frame rail thickness makes it a competitor,Tim
  20. It was a commode alright! I've driven a couple brigs. too sit you butt on the floor for a punishing ride and how about some of the old Reo's,trying to see over the wheel and little round mirrors that you had to bring up your rpm's so you could see because they shock so bad Tim
  21. J.J., Men of steel and trucks of wood and a little deaf!Tim
  22. Years ago the gentleman I worked for bought a white single axle cab over at an auction. We used it as a yard donkey. A very short frame air start detroit and you could connect a "jif" under the frame for transport. Crazy hard to see out of no power steering truck that someone behind a desk ordered Tim
  23. It would make a great show truck. Kristen would have a bird if I brought anything else home. I've always gotten what I want but I'd be sleeping in that truck. I'd do it for an Aussie Superliner though! Tim
  24. J.J., Willie or Real would love that truck now that you mention it. I'll have to let them know.Wiilie is retired and Real is thinking about it so it would be a great project for one of them,Tim (I've never seen a magnum cab over) thanks fullfuel01 for the info and picture,Tim
  25. I like the old bud wheels, you don't see that very much. I also like that dump body! Tim
