  2. Scott, I got one if you click on my name but I'm tring to figure out how to transfer the pics off the disc my friend put together for me. (I'm not ask'in my wife). I guess I've spent more time behind the wheel and not enough behind the desk. My wife gets mad that I wash my truck every day and constantly tinkering but DOT has never crawled under it. Tim
  3. Fixing up these old trucks should keep the women folk happy because at least they know where we are. Just don't let them talk you into selling one,I made that mistake and it's been a few years and I still kick myself Oh well won't happen agian Tim
  4. Hi every one, If you have a mag that need rebiulding or need an exchange, my brother can help you out. He rebiulds mags for a living with his wife and ships world wide. You can reach him at Mark's magneto service at 860-537-0376. Have fun Tim
  5. Wow I bet that she rummbles the ground! Looks like 4 turbos. I think the army for a while in the late "80"s up that configuration in some tanks and I think it was 1800 horse power but they only lasted 6 months. Al Hertzog at Mack school had a picture of one in "88". Tim
  6. Yes companys couldn't get away with putting trucks on the road like they may have 20 years ago. Tim
  7. I don't no about you guys when I started driving the trucks that I drove would make Mr. DOT drop his mirrored sun glasses know a days. A 1957 international 210 gas job 10 wheeler with a broken power steering pump which made it even harder to steer. The horn button was gone and it would shoot hot air up the steering collum right in your face. A 1962 Auto car you pulled to start and held the drivers door closed with a bungee cord. I got pulled on dot portable scales one day and they told me to shut it off, I said I can't and He said NOW---OK.The truck didn't start and he was smoking mad,I said I told you. I had to go get the lowbed and bring it to the job site. Oh I got a lot more later. Tim ...Too stack Mack
  8. There's nothing like a red Mack in the woods. Your R model looks good with the sleeper on it too. I got one picture of my superliner on my page if anyone is interested too.
  9. That's great,I don't think any of the new trucks running around will have the same life span as a good old B model.Tim
  10. Boy that must have been a nice truck.Think about the guys that used to haul LTL with trucks like that.Tim
  11. It's amazing the things you see over the years, but never a golf cart! Pulling doubles in freezing rain was always fun too! Tim
  12. Yah, the good old days when men were steel and the trucks were wood! Pull'in those hills say'in I think I can I think I can. I called my Dad one night and asked in a snow storm-when do I stop? He said -When the wheels stop turning! I never stopped at the dinner but I bet It was great. Tim
  13. Hey Pete, I like the 613 model too. I drove a "93" with a 400 and sometimes pulling a hill it would blow one of the pressure claps off the hose,I always had an extra if one broke. Never found out why it did that. It had 44's with a thriteen pulling a 50 ton rogers low bed. Tim
  14. Hi every one, thank for the info on Mack's take over of Brockway. In the early "80s" I pulled steel out of Bethlehem with a old blue Brockway, 318 and a 15 speed. It took four hours to get there and six to seven to get back. Those detroits didn't like those big hills but it was a good old girl, talk later Tim...Too stack Mack
  15. Barry that's great news! I've got two on my Superliner and they fit over my 44 rears. I hope santa gets my message for two new ones, Tim....Too stack Mack
  16. I think Mack took over Brockway in 1975 but I'm not sure. Can anyone verify this for me. I drove a old brock back in 1984 for Romanella in Stonington,Ct. It was all chromed out with a 318 and a 15 speed. It pulled a 24 ft dump trailer. I really liked that old truck. Tim....Too stack Mack
  17. It's amazing that up intil a few years ago how many B models were still on the road. In Connecticut alone you had White Oak running a bunch, they would just keep painting them brite orange. Anthony Julian R/R construction had a bunch in Bridgeport, one with a rock body. O and G Industries in Torrington with some too and they still use a C model with a compressor on it for their bridge crews. A guy in Litchfield county runs a tri axle B model with a 50 ton low bed and many more. It just goes to show how well built these trucks were, Tim....Too Stack Mack
  18. Back in "83" the first road tractor I drove was a B-81. Alot like this one and I didn't appreciate it for the truck it was. I was to busy looking at the RL700L I wanted to drive. Now I look back and can see just what a great truck it really was. Tim
  19. WOW, A lot time went into this truck! The green and red are awsome and the crome tops it! Great job, Tim
  20. I like to see a frieghtshaker doing something important. That dozer is about ready for anything too. Tim
  21. Wow, I checked out the web site, that's got to be a pretty exciting and wild time. I'll make it a point to check it out for next years vacation(I know my wife will be excited!). Thanks for the info Tim-Too Stack Mack
  22. Hi everyone, I installed a new clutch in my superliner which was a 15 inch 10 spring and after installing it I was told I should have used a 9 spring clutch for my E-9. The truck pulls great and there's no problems so what is the correct clutch for an E-9 500? Thank you Tim
  23. Hi Everyone, I'd like to make my "92" superliner E-9 a true big dog. A twin turbo kit would make this possible. If anyone can tell me where to look would be very helpful, thanks Tim.
