Which would be almost immediately. A new recall just dropped concerning the drag link possibly being defective, stating that the affected trucks need to be parked until repairs have been made... What repair you ask? Volvo doesn't even know! "Once we have an approved remedy (repair) another communication will be sent out."

I'll repost it, here you go. I don't know enough about the technical side of the mDrive to give any further advice other than the ribbon harnesses go bad a lot. If you're looking for it in Impact, it's called the Passthrough Kit. Mdrive F GU series.pdf

I have to say my day, and probably week, has been made. The entire company was buzzing around this truck at some point, and obviously for good reason. I talked with the owner of the truck for a long time, and learned the history on this beast. It was the last display truck at the Mack HQ before Volvo took over, it is the inspiration for the Collector's Pin Set, and apparently was the model used to create the Superliner for the Farming Simulator game. I'm genuinely excited to have been part of this unit's history, and all I had to do was match up Schrader valves. The owner gave me permission to post it here, and said it'll be going to the Macungie show Lord willing!

We have our answer: NO. Our sales manager said they haven't been offered for quite a long time, probably when Volvo happened if I had a guess.
-
Yeah no, I highly doubt it haha. I won't name any names to help protect my identity, because these guys definitely are the kind to make a mountain out of a molehill. I sent one of the salesman an email asking about the spokes, let's see what the reply is.
-
A long shot is exactly what it would be haha. There's really only one salesman I like here, the rest are either crooks or absolute mo-rons. I'll make a point to ask though! Was busy and didn't have a chance to go that route yet.

Sometimes you need to drive long ways to see a Mack truck
The Heinz replied to Vladislav's topic in Odds and Ends
Those are some awesome pictures, it's hard for this American to realize other countries have Macks too! -
I've never seen spoke wheels on any truck that has entered our shop personally. I wouldn't doubt that it is an (expensive) option from the factory, but nearly everyone that orders new trucks around here are ordering for a fleet, or are keeping options cheap and easy to maintain.

2010 CXU MP7 scan tool
The Heinz replied to Chase1210's topic in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
I know JPRO is getting popular, but I have no clue what the price is like, or how in depth it can get with Volvo's exclusive programming (screw Premium Tech Tool, it can burn in the eternal lake of fire for all I care). -

I was just thinking this the other day, glad my question was answered without me having to ask! I thought the question up when remembering passing an old R Model going to work super early in the morning several years ago. I think it was an almost John Deere green, but it was pitch black and I am a bit colorblind. I told one of my coworkers that worked on old Macks previously to being a Cat tech, then to the fleet we both were at, which sparked a conversation about the offset cab models... Man, I love old trucks. -
It's no skin off my back, just glad you're able to get the truck going again. I was gung ho about it until I realized I wouldn't be able to sell easily to someone I know only through a forum. I'd say it may be best to have your shop look into setting up an account with us or their local dealer, especially if they see a lot of Mack's newer and old. I haven't been in the best spot to try and help out on this forum, all last week I was the only shop parts guy here and was wide open all week.

New radiator and cooling system.
The Heinz replied to RS Disposal's topic in Engine and Transmission
You could try getting up with Rock Mount Radiator, they're nowhere near you, but I've heard good things about them. I've never had to look for radiators on a truck that old. I tried using the VIN you provided on the camshaft/lifter thread, but it genuinely is made of unobtanium. -
Front Axle Seal
The Heinz replied to Coulton's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
You can order this from Walmart believe it or not, SKF 31244, or Napa. Also some other places online if you want. -

Here's a list I found of crosses for 320-2022: It crosses to a modern Mack number, but it is utterly unavailable. Might be best to cross some of these further if necessary. -
Took a little bit to figure this out, but as long as an ENDT675 is the same as what Impact says is ENDTB675, you have the correct camshaft part number, and PAI does show stock of their version ECM-9002. This is also the oldest Mack I've searched parts for.
-
I believe yours is "new" enough Impact would have info on it. I've looked up a couple of E6's before. Outside that I don't think I have anything else to look up. I'd need the old part number your truck had or your truck's VIN. Also, I'm extremely unreliable this week. Running solo in the shop so I don't have any downtime to check this forum out before I leave for the day.

The power steering fluid in MP engines is ATF, we use Mobil D/M in most if not all our locations. The pump (called the tandem pump because it is also the fuel pump) is attached to the geartrain. I have never seen an ATF/oil intrusion caused by the tandem pump personally.

2019 Mack Granite MP7 issues
The Heinz replied to Big Blue Mack's topic in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
The air leak in the bellhousing is likely the braided steel air line that feeds the clutch cylinder. Driving the truck with that leaking will cause numerous transmission failures relatively quickly, I'd highly recommend getting that fixed ASAP. It involves dropping the transmission if that will help. The 7th injector/AHI nozzle usually wouldn't affect the engine at all, the only connection with the fuel system it makes is at the housing where it is fed from. I'd change fuel filters and make sure your fuel is clear before going down the rabbit hole that is the MP engine fuel system.- 1 reply

Dif lock light turns on for no reason
The Heinz replied to Best Bet's topic in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
The switch itself could have failed, it's really common around here, or the pigtail/harness could have failed. We usually end up replacing both sensor/switch and pigtail. This is only a possibility, but it's what we see more often. -
We see a lot of electrical faults with injectors, particularly in the harness. You may want to check the injector end of the harness on cylinder 1 for any faults, especially any oil intrusion. You could also have something up with the overhead, like the rockers themselves. We see those fail too. There's a lot of possibilities with the MP engines, but we wouldn't be able to diag over the internet sadly.

Any time an exhaust manifold comes off, quote every bolt, stud, nut, spacer, and gasket. Also quote some Kroil. Got one in the shop right now that started as an EGR cooler R&R, turned into exhaust manifold replacement for exactly what you think. Want to know a worse truck for frozen bolts? Hino. Their DPF's are bolted into the SCR system, not clamped. So when the crappy injectors overfuel and melt the DPF, you also get to fight seized hardware the entire time. Awful.
