  1. I drove a 1993 Peterbilt 379 with a 60 series Detroit and a 15spd Deep reduction. She looked like she were straight outta a Jerry Reed movie lol. 70 was top speed but she did it right in the mud with a load of logs on. The 14.0L I experienced was in a 2006 Coronado. That truck would flat git it Son. I went 14 miles in less than 10mins l. Friend of mine was following me and she backed out of it at 75mph and I was still pulling away from her before she backed outta it lol
  2. Problem with the 505 hp MP8 was head issues from what I heard. I've always said bigger horses lead to bigger problems. Like these guys with these 6nz cats I've done the same exact work with less horse and less cost of parts etc. Gimme a 2005 60 series Detroit any day 515hp from the factory and 7-8mpg whether loaded or empty.
  3. My Grandpa worked at The Ford Engine Plant here In Lima, Ohio. Had a guy that used the same welder as my Grandpa but on 1st shift. Grandpa would come in and reset the machine ๐Ÿ™„ in order to do his work. My Grandpa kindly asked the gentleman if he would please put the welder settings back the way he found them when he ended his shift. The guy cussed at my Grandpa and threw a fit. So my Grandpa really fixed him.......At the end of his Shift that night my Grandpa took the leads of the welder off and put a Dab of Superglue on each post then put The leads back on,Tightened them down, and went home. Came back the next day and the guy was Mad and Said "It took us almost half a day to git that welder going" That wasn't funny. My Grandpa just smiled and said well next time you'll put the machine back the way you found it!!! And walked away laughing
  4. Wish My Grandpa was still alive so I could hear his stories of Korea one more time. My Grandpa Lyle which is my Daddy's Dad Served in WW2 but passed away when my Daddy was 18.
  5. Well The truck is all ready to Celebrate Memorial day. The red white and blue will fit in well . The true reason i do the parade is ive had may family Members serve in our Military and Without their sacrifice and the fellow soldiers that served with them and after We wouldnโ€™t be able to have our freedom. Yes this Currently administration may be dumb but when you git down to the brass tacks America is STILL the Greatest Nation on Earth.
  6. We may not know them all but we owe them all. Semper Fi
  7. I stop by the shop to see the progress on The Green Hornet. Mechani. Had the Rubber flooring and both seats out. He scrubbed down the metal underneath. He's gittin ready to drop the transmission tomorrow. The new radiator is in. The new DPF can should be in any day now. Also he said after She's back together and gits a bath he's going to polish all the Chrome for me and make it look like a true Show work truck.
  8. I'd drive all of them Just Sayin
  9. Yeah we do the Memorial day parade then The local fair Parade We love it. The kids love hearing the Air horn and Seeing my riding companion Milo lol. They forget about the candy when they see him!!
  10. I've got my eye on an R model Mack with a flat top bunk down in West Virginia
  11. Boy I wish she were mine. But my boss let's me treat her like she is. Maybe one day I will have a rig of my own........
  12. Just an Update I will not be driving The Green Hornet in the Parade this year ๐Ÿ˜ข ๐Ÿ˜ž . She's going to be down for awhile. But when I do git her back She will have a new radiator, Air Compressor, All 13 gears in the transmission, and a New drivers seat!!!. I'm hoping I can talk them into putting 10 led Chicken lights on her as well ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ˜‹.
  13. No She blew apart. Truck had to be towed to the shop. She's gonna be down for awhile
  14. Well The Green Hornet Did me dirty Thursday and decided to blow the guts of her Air Compressor out then Started Spewing Motor. Got down to 20lbs of oil pressure and the secondary air tank was down to 50lbs.
  15. Well it is on new York so they tend to graffiti trucks instead of taking decals off. I'd love to have the whole rig. Would be a great candidate for a Super liner version of the Rubber Duck truck Quack Quack
  16. That is one Nice Unit!!! I'd throw a nice bunk on the back and acouple stacks and drive the wheels off if I had it Quack Quack.
  17. Or My Grandmother may have gotten it for him. I wish they were still around so I could ask them ๐Ÿ˜” and also show them the pretty Mack truck I drive now and take my Grandpa with me on one more run. ๐Ÿ˜”
  18. That's Awesome i appreciate you taking the time to find those. I figure my Grandpa must've got it when he bought one of his b models. It would've been around that Era of time.
  19. Back in 2008 I was on my way to Dover Plains New York and blew a inside drive tire on the rear drive Axle passenger side. The Gator slapped so hard it put a dent in the back of my half fender. Well in the process of departure it took out an air line for my suspension on my flatbed. As I climbed underneath to see if I could find the leak and fix it the suspension started dropping. Not only did the inside tire on the front Axle drivers side blow before I got under the trailer the opposite inside tire blew as I climbed out from underneath the trailer. Only thing between me and that tire was the mud flap.
  20. I've always hated Recaps. I remember back in 2007 when tire manufacturers were having production issues even with virgin tires. The Garbage company I worked for at the time had just put a brand new set of 8 drives on a truck. He wasn't loaded thank God because about 2miles down the road all 8 let loose of their treads at the same time.
  21. Happy Birthday Joey Hope your day is just Ducky Quack Quack
