  1. Duck, it's funny, but I am on the edge of my seat with this,,, I'm waiting for you to post that it is at the house..
  2. I'm glad you are fixed up, I only mentioned the range cylinder re-build as part of a P.M. idea. I think you said you use air brake conditioner, thats good, the less water the better, I assume you pull the cables on the air tanks regularly too. as far as a low oil level, I think it holds 28-30 pints, and there is likely an oil pump inside, you should see some stainless steel tubes inside the bell housing, when you are greasing the throw out bearing. and as far as the number of gears, yes 1st. is all the way towards you and down, and that is used to start out, then when you range shift 'up' when you come out of 5th., you come over to the middle, and 'up' skipping the 1st. gear spot. I know you know this, just sharing info. Thank you for posting the solution, and for the Respect.. Good deal.. Jojo
  3. You too Bud,, I hope you have a great day..
  4. doing good, hope you are.. just rellaxing tonight before I spend tomorrow cooking for me and my wife..
  5. I went to the search bar, selected 'everywhere', then typed in 'injection pumps for sale'.. then I just scrolled through the list.. Good luck, I wish I could help you better..
  6. and April 6th, in 'for sale'
  7. october 28th, in 'for sale'
  8. is it because the E-6 Ambach pump has 3 bolt holes, and the E-7 has 4? I thought there was a posting inthe for salle section, where there was some Robert Bosch pumps for sale....
  9. https://photos.app.goo.gl/fQ2CEdmL1LXxmWYU6 OK. I hope this works. It took me a bit.. the first 2 are from the '95 book.... the second 2 are from the '96/97 book
  10. I am glad that the tranny has worked good for you. as far as the gears goes, the main box (front) is a 5 speed w/reverse. the order of the gear sets from front to back is: 4th+5th, 3rd+2nd, 1st+rev.. they are the same gears in low or high range. the back box contains 2 shift forks, one for the Hi/Lo synchronizer, and the other is the splitter ( the Gray button on the side of the knob).. I dont know how long this issue has been around, but may I suggest that you re-ring the Synchro pistons. that is the one that sticks out the back of the tranny above the yoke. it is easy to do and you do NOT have to pull the transmission. what are your thoughts? and if you are a good mechanic, you can do this job without needing to be a tranny specialist. My thoughts are that mabey the range shifter is sluggish. Hard to truly diagnose it from my couch, but there are a bunch of us here that will guide you. Jojo
  11. Have you checked the oil level? Also, is the gear shifter used as an arm rest?
  12. 'K'... I enjoyed that video.. I don't have Fox news anymore, A few years now. I let them go.. However, Mr. Huckabee is a good man and I have listened to him many times.. I know that when he is speaking I can trust him... as far as Tariff's.. I am clueless on how it works, but if it slows down the entrance of bad things into our Great Nation,,, I'm in.. If it encourages bussiness' to build on American soil,,, I'm in..... I do expect to see some prices rise, which suks, but it is time to fortify the U.S.A. I am not an intelligent guy, but I love our country.. We need strong people to fix what the Biden Klan, with the help of barrack the P.O.S. created.
  13. Hell I gave $7k for a $5k truck because I wanted it.. I will have $10k totaled when I drive it on the road.. Oh well.. I have yet to see another one in my area at the shows I've been too. I have shallow pockets so My Int. KB-7 will be My show truck.. Just my 2 cents.. Jojo
  14. Duck, You have a great story and pictures to boot.. it's been about 2 years since you started this thread. For what ever my opinion is worth, If you can afford to buy the truck, and Mrs. Duck supports you,,,,,, Do it.. I have 1 old truck, and I am very proud to have it. It's not a Mack, but i'm good with that. What I see in you is a ton of pride as a driver, and a great respect for your kin... Yeah it's 'just a truck' (to some).. but the pride you will have will be valuable,,, to you..... Good luck, and you have my blessing.. By the Damn thing !! Jojo
  15. just curious,,, what ratio rears are in it now?
  16. Hey Pinnacle? did you get the wipers fixed? If so, how did it go?
  17. My wife is in the bed with Bronchitus. So I am tending to her as needed.. So far she hasnt snapped at me, so I guess i'm doing a good job.
  18. good point about the gearing.
  19. Yes sir, I used to do mobile cutting when I worked for Mack dealerships.. If I was to do that today, I would want to set the liners to spec as part of the service.
  20. I guess my point to them was a tight fit so the bed would'nt loosen up, and shear the bolts off..
  21. I bought a mid-stop counter bore cutter a few years ago. I only have a Mack E-7/ E-tech cutter head, but I can get other styles if I ever build a different brand of engine.. the tool and the head cost me $2,850.00 Its an american made copy of the $7,000.00 kent-more model.
  22. Mech,,, I/We do it all the time, I'm chatty today.. Still ill from pnumonia, so I am indoors today. Need to be well for tomorrows work day.
  23. Mech, woould ou believe me if I told you that when I started fixing Macks only 25 years ago, that My mentor taught me about body bound bolts, and in years past, when I suggest using body bound bolts I get funny faces because they dont know about them, and then I hear, well I will just use grade 8 bolts, then I try to explain how the shoulder of the body bound bolt works.. I just had this convo, 2 months ago with 2 co-workers who were putting a steel flat bed on an F-450 with a gooseneck ball in it. The know -it-all guy said it wasnt neccesary. anyway, we'll see if the bed loosens up, the owner pulls 15,000 pounds with it..
  24. fjh, I feel your frustration. I actually use 'Sta-Bil', but I also crank both genny's up every other month. I walk by then everyday, so cranking them is easy, i shut the fuel valve after a minute and let them run dry.. It's not a perfect way to combat our crappy gasoline, but it works for me. I sleep with a C-PAP, so it is vital that my house Genny runs good.
