  2. Gas went up $2.10/ gallon. in 16 month's, and it's not done rising.. and now the new "Excuse" is Putin... I still can't believe that 38% of the U.S. approves of our King.. They must be the ones that ride the bus for free to get there free food with a debit card thats funded by us,, the 'Workers' .... Dang'it... I forgot,, I have to got to work.. I better get going, hate to make less tax dollars today because I'm late to work... jojo
  3. too me,,,, its easy to miss it, especially when I 'scroll' quickly... so what do you think the issue is? jojo
  4. good job Onyx... Looks clear to me..
  5. sad but true... TJC, we barely get 10% of our oil from Russia.. I guess he thinks we can go 'all electric' by flipping a switch.. I will never understand the thinking, or lack there of,, by this administration.. I dont know..... jojo
  6. I guess I should have been clearer... Im not talking about the ones that look like a belt... mine are steel,,, jojo
  7. the strap wrenches I have are 3+inches wide and they dont crush the filter like the 1" wide wrenches.. K-D tools makes the ones I have.. NAPA sells them jojo
  8. heres an idea... go to NAPA have them pull a 1791 filter, so they can pick the correct wrench for it... i think its 4 and 1/8" -4 and 3/8" they can show you... I suggest getting the metal strap wrench that takes a 1/2" drive ratchet.. jojo
  9. I thought the truck was an '06 CX ?
  10. Yep, I just heard 'right now' on the news that these high prices are also a result of petro companies trying to recuperate recent losses,,, so does that mean their operating cost's didnt go up much, but ours do ??? jojo
  11. I remember being a young'n back then, waiting in the back seat of our Plymouth Duster, on 'Odd' gas day because our plate was an 'Odd' number.... jojo
  12. I try Mackey,,, I know sometimes we dissagree, However, I always read your posts, and I respect you.. I like agreeing better....jojo
  13. if it doesnt do it in 5th,, highly likely its in the back box. synchro sliding clutch may have diamond shaped teeth by now.. Just for kicks, is the grinding strong in the shifter? I ask because many guys use the gear shifter as an arm rest, which can mess the shift fork up.. good luck Jojo
  14. I got my name from a Young guy at the first Mack Dealership I worked at in Portland Maine... Scott Young, just started calling me 'Joey Mack"
  15. there is no shortage.. it is a game of power and profit, at our expense.. Jojo
  16. Those operations are not directly controlled by the President.... It's Latent...... Like shutting down the Keystone pipeline, and Opening our Southern border... "To every action, there is an equal and Opposite reaction" just a thought,,, I wish things were left alone after 2020... jojo
  17. the side cover for the spur shaft bearing, should have an o-ring.. they usually get flattened and hard as plastic, and stuck in the grove on the bearing housing.. if its not there, well,,,theres the leak... jojo
  18. I only suggested pulling the thin bearing cover behind the yoke, because there seemed to be a lot of oil, . I didnt want you to have to take it back apart, for the o-ring or gasket behind the bearing cover. Oh yeah,, about youre beer... I started putting my beer on a different bench,, just in case I get jumpy.. Love it.. jojo
  19. those pull out. I dont remember having to take a bunch of stuff off the engine, however, I did this repair on MP-8's.. I may not be of any help, sorry bud. I should have waited to post... Jojo
  20. are you trying to replace the plunger in the piston cooling tube control, under the right side of the engine? jojo
  21. yes, pull the seal housing and replace the o-ring behind the cover, and this will make seal replacement easier, and you can see it better. the pic of the spur shaft cover may be caused by the heavy rust. being from Maine I am familiar with the effects of road salt in the winter. plus, I'm sure that truck hauled salt a few times, check that cover for holes. The rubber thing I mentioned is the ring you see on the yoke.. I was taught to throw that away. I was hoping for other opinions on that one. The main bolt is supposed to be replaced. Mack # 3AX 1803... make sure it has a good dose of lock tite on it. it torques to 500 lbft.. And replace the u-joint straps as well. This is not a technical job, just may have a bit of labor, to get the yoke off. You got this, Jojo
  22. Good deal, Glad you are here,,, pic's of cool sh!t is always a plus..... jojo
  23. No doubt... It is a ridiculous sh!t show.. I'm not impressed.. Good point, however, ......... The guy that you support has F'd us,, and it hit's really hard.. At least for those of us that don't have gob's of money to just say 'F' it,,, I'll pay the high fuel prices for my Limo. AND 'I need to look good when I'm with my America hating friends'... ..................How about opening 'Keystone' ?? We are on a truck website buy the way... Fossil fuel is what WE here use to make a living... Anyway , I hope this gets better for those of us that rely on ourseleves and the support of a 'Real' president... Hope to have another one soon... jojo
  24. I would rather have that one, over the other option for that year, and there after.. Best of luck to you.. Jojo
  25. And the award for The Most Awesomest, poster, goes too... Oh my gosh!!!!! we have A 20 way tie... Luv it... jojo
