  1. Neo... I responded a bit ago... I'm going to post a question for the guy's... Can he look at air tanks for his truck, at site's where they sell air systems for people who take small pick up trucks and install air ride to them? I know that Midliner parts are like 'Hen's Teeth' hard to find.. so does he get creative? jojo
  2. Tjc... No!!...... jojo
  3. Onyx.... yes..... jojo
  4. I remember those days in early 2000.. I did quite a few core sand repairs and stand pipe updates.. as far as cutting counter bores, I remember measuring the shelf in 3-4 spots, and looking for cavitation that went from the bore wall out to the edge of the shelf.. thats when we cut 'em... jojo
  5. Dan, do you dare to take the turbo apart and clean out the soot that has the ring nozzle bound up? jojo
  6. For some reason I can not find the tool on the web... Its a plastic gauge with teeth on it and you use it to set the VGT cam into position before you install the actuator, then you are ready to do a calibration.. Why can't i find it??? jojo
  7. Onyx, I will have to look for one,, mine is long gone because they are plastic and dont live long... jojo
  8. hmmm, I wonder why its stuck.. I cant comment anymore because I am not there to see it. and its been a while since I messed with one.. sorry bud.... jojo
  9. Thank's Glenn.. I was hoping you would respond.. my cust. has 2 engines, im pulling the pump off one and putting it on the other. so I should be able to see the plug you mention, and as far as the lines, I hope to use the lines he has, i expect that I will have to buff the ends so they seal.. I figured I would use the timing for the pump that I am keeping.. thanks again.. jojo
  10. remove the turbo VGT actuator, leave it plugged in and cycle the key to see if the actuator does a self test.. if it does, then rotate the little 1/4 gear to right (I beleive) and reinstall the VGT actuator.. there is actually a little plastic gauge to set the VGT position... do you have that tool? you wont be able to move the actuator by hand, so dont try.. when it is put back together, you can use PTT to do a VGT calibration. hope to see more info on this, to get you were you need to be.. that said..... 👍 Awesome!!!!! You took on, one heck of a job.. Jojo
  11. I should have gone further.... The money would be for the rancher's who's property was damaged and destroyed by the Illegal's...... jojo

  16. I have a customer that has a '96 RD. He wants me to pull the elec. inj. pump, and install a mechanical inj. pump.. I assume both are robert bosch based on the year. But I havent gotten all the details yet.. I have never done such a swap... would I just use the pump degree settings from the mechanicle pump, and install it that way.. I have only ever re-installed the pump's that were on the engine originally.. I have the tool's, most of the knowledge and all the Mack books.. I welcome any help... Joey Mack...

  18. I want your truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jojo
  19. you are over joe...if the measure is correct.... I would like to hear from MackPro on this as well. I learned .1000 is the max.. however... i have never pushed that issue... the most i have ever shimmed was .012".. the shelf is 4.010" ish - 4.030" ... stock....liner protrusion allowance is .023" - .029" with .002" variance on the front 3 holes and the rear 3 holes... however, I always want to learn from others on this.. . jojo
  20. ok... i know you have an MS... what would you like to know? I just bought the 526S book for your truck.. I will try to help you , but it may take a small bit of time.... just 'sum up' the issue... i dont want to re-read 40 post's... with respect... jojo

  22. onyx... are you telling me to go back and look? or Neo.... I just spent $80.00 to buy a midliner book to help Neo... and of course in my future I will use it to fix a Midliner ... just asking , jojo
  23. neo... just because... can you sum up what you need ? keep it short... I literaly bought a book to help YOU.. jojo
  24. hey bud... you have to pull the hood, and cooling pack because there is no room to do the job.. You need to be sure about what you are seeing.. for a guy like me the job is easy, hood off in 30 mins, cooling pack, 15 mins if you drain it first.. Im sorry if this seems like a bunch of work for a BS leak.. but... it is what it is... jojo
  25. that hump is where the plug is... to bad there isnt a different shape to the cover to let you get to the plug.. I wish I had a spare cover kicking around, so i could look and see if there was a way to drill it out to get to the plug and tap threads in it for another plug... dammit.... jojo
