  1. @Joey Mackthanks for the advice on the grease. Hubby put all together, the new harness with a new A/C control panel. Of course our luck, No AC, the fan does however come on now with a light blinking at the control panel. Any recommendations?
  2. @Joey Mack This is what I am ordering. Thanks for your help. Hopefully no other issues come along.
  3. Thanks Joey! Greatly appreciate it. It is a 2007 Granite CV713. BTW -I have updated my profile to include the truck.
  4. While removing the old module realized the plug is burned up. Can anyone identify what this part is that fits behind the module? It needs to be replaced.
  5. I seen from a previous post that you can find out if a Step 12B update has been done in the ECM.

Can you still check this? Or direct me who can?

We have a 2007 Granite, running super slow. Last 6 # vin 061642.

    Thanks!

Your truck is a Step12A so the VECU can be flashed to 12B . Also the VECU and engine ECM have never been replaced or software updated since the day it rolled off the line according to the Mack dealership we use( where I used to work). Every Mack dealership has access to the “VMAC online” system to look at all VMAC 3 trucks 1998.5- 2007.5year models.  This shows software and programming and history and components for each truck.

      Great, thanks again.

Would this be very expensive to update to 12B?

It’s usually only a couple hours labor but finding a dealership that will do it is the problem. It’s not very easy and one screw up and you can fry a ECM easily. It’s a multi-step process of manually downloading the software from Mack and saving the old data off the ECM and combining them and then putting it all back into the ECM.  Plus most of the guys that did programing on the gray engines are retired or have quit. My old dealership won’t do it anymore.

  6. Hydraulic fluid is fine. Just not sure why this is just happening. Works like it should when empty.
  7. Joey Mack It is gray engine. Any suggestion on the fuse for the gauge cluster location? Thanks
  8. @Joey Mack Would this work for a 2007 granite as well? The fuse for the gauge cluster location- triangle panel on top of the dash, and there is one behind the clutch pedal.
