  1. N J didn't allow self service for many yrs, not sure when it changed . I do my best to stay out of NJ. first solo driving route was NJ . 45ft /day cab . yrs before G P S also, had things called road maps.
  2. must be the Polish in me ; I always tried to drive my bicycle over the gas station hose by jumping front then rear wheels so as to NOT ring the bell. hit the bell hose /make it ring was a "point"against . LOL . had the bike till 16 . it didn't fair well when it came head on into a school bus. neither did the operator (me).
  3. you sure missed A LOT of good (simple) times. back when things were fun, not damaging .
  4. close clearance for probe coil in back , don't want to bend toooo much
  5. how long leak last, sure it wasn't exhausting air? springs (should be two) on shutter cyl keep shutters open , air used to close them;;;; unless have been changed.
  6. might still have the water temp sender in the back of manifold
  7. Mack Westerns had that set up with gauges in mid section also.
  8. memory serves me correct the shutters use air pressure to close. dual springs on the cylinder hold it open. the switch on the dash should have one end to line on shutterstat . other port on switch would be any source of air.
  9. the 1/4 in line from water manifold is connected to a shutterstat. I would take the small lines off and blow air through to check for clogged lines. temp gauge should be connected to a sender on BACK of water manifold . it may have been moved when block heater line installed on top
  10. that #4 aeroquipt line is oil going IN TO the turbo return will be the 3/4 round pipe on bottom held in place with two 3/8th bolts and gasket ; short pipe with # 8 aeroquipt line which connects to side cover on block. line for oil pressure gauge should (might) connect to oil pressure pad .
  11. apologize my screw up meant Stars/blue ALWAYS on LEFT when in hanging position. has been a challenging few days.
  12. I noticed that didn't want to be negative of the great show . blue/stars ALWAYS on right when Flag in hanging position
  13. question on the white DM-800 . fuel tanks mounted on frame ( weight transfer?). exhaust brought back towards weight box = different . question is - what/why the unit on air cleaner intake pipe under intake bonnet??? a precleaner or a type of turbo to intake more air?? must be high horse power ! can't recall ever seeing such a set up
  14. wouldn't call it silly thinking . signs of the future is more like it. question is ::will the vehicles hold all the computer stuff (back-up battery) while main battery swap.
  15. stopped at a Target store yesterday , they have huge section of parking lot tore up -putting in long line of charging poles. seems that's called future progress. interesting to see another 20-30 yrs from now where all the expended batteries will be dumped = by then it may be discarded in outer space like trash from cruise ships dump in ocean.
  16. guess it's a case of == gotta do what ya gotta do !! LOL
  17. guess that's why it is said --a picture is worth a thousand words, makes replies so much easier looking at pictures to understand situation. thanks for pictures also looks as though you have your act together . fact you asked advice first also show intelligence.
  18. I've seen auto inflate system ; don't remember them looking like those. front line on steer must be a swivel joint on top .
  19. the perfex B-81 has it's work cut out hauling the transformer. way in back large set of wheels must be a loader for pushing help.
  20. also back wheels have same .noticed after I enlarged photo ;; why ??
  21. also back wheels have same .noticed after I enlarged photo ;; why ??
  22. excellent photos; but I have to ask= the B-81 has guide poles on front steer axle which look to be part of a back up bell '??? purpose is ??
  23. also once it has a body on it , driveshaft won't be as noticeable.
  24. you can always take some masking tape and spiral the driveshaft ; paint it white like a barber shop pole. then ask the UPS driver his opinion. LOL . I saw the B-42 at the Brooklyn show; you weren't around . You left when I was spending money at the flea market section. any ideas/hopes for the B-73 first show appearance??
  25. it's same as cake Jojo; some are easy to cut ; some aren't. wait till you get on the old age side of the coin= you forget what you learned and haven't learned the new stuff being discussed. I'm going by top mount Mack -not front load. off brand would be front mount in my day. it's called "built like a Mack " for a reason back then.
