  6. Went to get my truck and the rain stopped, thank god as my wipers aren't working right. The quick trip home was trouble free.Edited-Just talked to the people i bought the truck from. The son is 51,and father is 86.They were at the show today and saw the truck.Brought back lot's of memmories for them both!
  7. Had a great time, met a lot of nice people!Only bad part was waiting a few hours to get in on a 93 degree day...The old B did just fine in the heat, wife and daughter also had a good time.Only one C model there(didn't get mine there)and the guy works it on a regular basis!!!It has a 673 non turbo, manual steering and a 10 speed duplex. The owner has had the truck since 1983.Here's a few pics.
  8. "D'Addario" is the last name of the original owner (what i was told) of my B75.They were/are located in Bloomfield C.T,not sure if they're connected to the D'Addario/HIHO company???It did come from Bridgeport Mack.
  9. This 1960 B61SX is from MA,not far from CT.It hauled blacktop daly through the late "90's!Still in pretty clean shape,673(n/a) with a q-box.22" rubber, trip. frame, some spreading but not too bad.Owner may sell it.
  10. My C600 has a 10 speed direct trans. The main stick is a bit sloppy, can be tough to find second.Feels as there is no detent spring. It shifts good otherwise, what would be needed to fix this? Also just curious as to what other gearbox's would be a direct bolt in?
  11. This B81 ran daly for Phelps Construction near me into the "90's when the owner sold out(my cousin). It had a 300 with a q-box.My C600 worked for Berlandy Construction in Kensington from "77-2010.My B75 pulled a CAT D6D on a 25 ton lowbed through 2008.The 1968 DM600 was ran by the original owner until just a few years ago until they retired(237/6spd).The Autocar was mine also,1963 DC87.It pulled a lowbed for BMY construction from "new in "63-"07.It has a 220 Cummins,5x4,ps,24" rubber. This area was FULL of ol.d skool Macks,Brockways and ACars.Rust/exporters took many, but there's still a lot left.
  12. Took my buddy for a ride today,he was amazed how i could get her down the road with two sticks!I believe the q-box to be the best trans ever made.I just don't see how anything could be better???By far the most fun!
  13. Nice to see an old truck streching it's legs!
  14. Didn't go too far, about a 20 minute ride.Expecting it to be another bucking bronco on the roads around herw,i was quite shocked. This truck rides like a 1950's baby carriage, could not believe how good it rides empty! The shifter for the main feels a bit sloppy, and an O.D would be nice.Pretty happy overall,i think it'll make a nice little work truck.
  15. I'll be at West Springfield with it,only 15 minutes away.Sure wish i had some new radials for the front!
  16. First time this truck went down the road in four years since it retired! The front end was shaking like crazy until the bias tube type tires got some heat in them. She ran well otherwise, pleanty of waves and thumbs up.
  17. I just don't understand how someone could buy such an ugly truck like that....???
  18. A U model convoy rig,now that's an odd duck...
