You are correct @Elephant ears, @kscarbel2 corrected himself above eight years ago 😎

Looks great @JoeH! Are you going back to your “fleet white” with the donor cab?

This might be a good one for @kscarbel2 to chime in on (he has been around recently)….

Not sure if I remember the Blizzard of ‘78, but I know that I’ve heard a lot about it over the years. My Dad was a Ford truck salesman and plowed for one of his customers, Don Caliacco, in a 2wd Dynahoe at the Braintree Mall. They couldn’t leave the mall so they ended up sleeping on store shelves at Jordan Marsh.
He said that they sent a loader ahead of the fuel truck plowing their own way to the fuel depot (or maybe the yard?). First loader ran out of fuel and they had to send another!

Sorry to hear about the accident @JoeH . Hopefully all involved are okay. 🤞
I see from your photos that you’ve pulled the mixer off. Was there much damage to it?
Enjoyed your build thread from when you assembled this rig. I’m sure that she will rise from the ashes better than ever.

Repair the engine and use it in our club’s museum operations.
Welcome @Foxyjosh!
I see that you are from Ohio. What club are you a part of? Do you have shows where we can all come see this beast?

So, 6 weeks later what’s the latest @mowerman? Is this the truck you are going to ride off into the sunset in?
-
I see that he hasn’t been around in a number of years, but it would be neat to see how @rclaggf4u’s project came together…😎

I saw Mike's (Boston Trucker's) video over the weekend. That rollover was un-real! Everyone involved is lucky that nothing sparked and lit it off.

Thank you @Red Horse for the photo. Hopefully there will be more in the future… 😎
Any history on the truck? I grew up in Sudbury, MA (town just to the north for those who don’t know eastern Massachusetts), but I can’t say I remember “Framingham Asphalt”.

Any photos of the rig @Red Horse? You know we all love pictures!

Welcome to BMT @Gunny65!
Looking forward to seeing more photos.
Might be worth a bit of research on the working limits of current rotating dumps. Pretty sure most on rail have some sort of system that anchors the truck to the rail when dumping, but I could be off base here. You may even find that the swivel/hoist/bed manufacturer is still around as a resource. -

Interesting to see that the Cat didn’t get the standard department colors @NycHeavyIron.
Thank you for sharing these “behind the fences” photos. 😊

Glad to hear that you had a great trip @mowerman! I managed to make a brief visit to the museum back in 2021, but haven’t made it back yet. Someday I hope to make it up for the show weekend.
Hope that you’ve found smooth roads back a work. 🙂

You must have nerves of steel @mowerman!
I don’t have my CDL, but have been a lifelong fan of the brand and the industry. I’ve had the opportunity to ride along with my good friend @Firemack in his MH and have tremendous respect for all of you that keep America moving.
Please keep the updates and photos coming as I have to live vicariously through all of you!- 2

@mowerman are you pulling triples at the day job? That has got to be an adventure!
Your DM looks like a great place to start. Looking forward to seeing what you do with her.

Saw an interesting series that a YouTuber I follow did on a tractor restoration. His commitment to himself was to do “something” on the project every day. Some days were full days in the shop, others were 5 minutes on line ordering a part. I think he ended up with 130 days or so to get it done. I’m not saying this is practical with a project the size of a DM, but you could take the approach of doing something on the hood every day as a starting point…
How about sharing a few photos of the entire truck and what you have planned?

So @fjh how’s the new to you old hoe treating you?

Great photos @NycHeavyIron!
I’m surprised they don’t have the standard NYC plow hitches on them. Probably would need 3 of them though!
