  1. Thank you 41, I was thinking there had to be a major problem somewhere. A company doesn't go from A- rated to crap overnight. It takes years of bad management. Truck Shop
  2. All most two months ago now, I ordered a 30,000 lb Warn XL-LP winch through Summit. I paid for it. The part was coming from the manufacture drop shipped with a date of 5-21 then it was changed to 5-22. So when I saw there was no e-mail that it had been shipped I called Summit. Summit called Warn while I was on hold, they came back and told me Warn was shipping it on 5-23. I'm only 250 miles from Warn manufacturing in the Portland, Or area-nothing showed up today. I called Summit they called Warn again and were told they were waiting on a main drive shaft for that winch which they would receive on 6-1. They lied plus they didn't even parts on hand to build it to begin with. Which also means if it breaks they have no parts to repair it. That is Bogus business practice at best. Summit was going to have Warn call me right away-never happened. Someone should have called to let me know of the situation-Summit or Warn Summit is refunding my credit card company then they will send me a check for 5,000. But if Summit had any balls from the top floor they would halt business with Warn. Warn lied to Summit and Warn lied to me on a product I had paid for in full. Now I start over after two months. 3. Because there are thousands and thousands of acres of dry land wheat around here there is tons of straw. The plant actually will make pulp out of the straw for building materials and card board. The boiler is gas fired, there is a main line running right by there and they have rail for shipping and the Snake River for barges. Truck Shop

  5. Actually that's a Bull Snake people confuse them with buzz tails all the time. It was 24" and just looking for a place to hide. Truck Shop
  6. That was the last bridge to cross and it was the oldest so the county had them span it. Truck Shop
  7. That load will be passing on the highway a 1/4 mile from my shop. I get to the shop every morning at 6:00 except Saturday and Sunday those days are 5:15. So I will be waiting coffee in hand. Seven years ago company called Biggge out of Tacoma, Wa came here and moved two transformers for wind mill projects, those loads grossed 480 ton each. Truck Shop
  8. I spied this in our local rail yard today, it's 210 ton boiler for a straw processing plant north of town, The equipment to move it weighs 184 tons. They will leave at 6:45 am tomorrow so hopefully I can get some photos of it underway. They have several steep grades along the route of 6%. Truck Shop
  9. The slogan on the back of an old GMC septic pumper in my home town said { Your $hit is my bread and butter}. His stand by truck slogan was {Nobody has enough money to stop their's from stinking} Truck Shop

  15. That truck is not brokered. No rust, I guess someone could spend a ton of time and money fixing their cab that's rotted out or buy this for a lot less than a restore. Truck Shop

  17. A friend here in town went through the same thing. He got a historical vehicle plate which removed the commercial problem and painted for personal conveyance on both sides. And there is no tonnage because it's for show purpose only. It's just a big vehicle that can't haul anything. 1951 Freightliner C.O.E. Truck Shop
  18. That would have been a great by today's standards business class/ farm truck. Wish my dad had bought one of those for our dairy when I was a kid😊 Truck Shop
  19. Our DD15's with 13spd run around 5.8 with a DT12 automatic 6.7, the Series 60 averaged 4.8 to 5.2 depending on driver. Truck Shop
  20. This is where that Series 60 at the start of this thread landed. Through the last 6 years we've bought 29 gliders this the last one the company will buy. The other half of the fleet are DD15's and 16's. From here on no more pre-emission engines, those old engines just don't get the mileage. She has a total of 40 miles from test drive. Truck Shop
  21. When I said I looked at it-I raised the hood and looked at it. If your looking for RL's I run into those all the time if I see something worth while i will let you know. Truck Shop
