  1. Yes, I miss the old brochures. But still, it could be worse. Look at the other manufacturers. International rarely makes a brochure any more. Not even online. And when they do most of the specs are outdated or inaccurate. Pete doesn't make brochures at all. KW still makes a nice brochure, but they don't use real pictures any more. Every year they just change the color on their computer-generated cartoon graphics. At least Freightliner and Star still make nice ones.
  2. They sure copied the Detroit DD with that one. Even quoted the exact same 50 h.p. put back to the flywheel. Well if it works as good as my DD15's it should be good.
  3. Wow, an exact copy of my Detroit Diesel DD15. They even claim the exact same 50 h.p. back into the flywheel that Detroit has been doing for years.
  4. New 13 and 14 speed versions of the M-Drive HD with low reduction gears. http://www.macktrucks.com/community/mack-news/2016/mack-expands-heavy-duty-amt-range/ And finally.......an SCR package like everyone else has had that doesn't take up so much frame space. http://www.macktrucks.com/community/mack-news/2016/mack-cleartech-one-offers-increased-versatility/
  5. Hope you don't mind me adding a pic. This was new at my local dealer back in the day. I think this is one of the ones that ended up in our local steel mill pulling a big 100 ton float. If not, they did have two just like it.
  6. Absolutely incredible!! You did an awesome job. That looks great.
  7. Yep, like David Wild said, I hauled 140,000 gross every day with my 88 R Model with an E-6 350 up and down 8 to 12% grades. It did everything my new DD15 505 Detroit will do. (except engine brake power, LOL) Got better fuel mileage too. And it ran every day.
  8. I'll trade you a Hilary for that little pole smoker the idiots in my country voted in for Prime Minister. If your Trump gets in, get him to take over our country too. When he starts kicking everyone out, we have a lot of population that needs to get purged too.
  9. The fallout is already starting, even up here in Canada. I know some guys that had Diesel Spec deletes done on their new trucks and they just got caught and had to put everything back on. They are starting to look close now, and have new testing equipment.
  10. I hope you show us that too. You have some awesome iron there!
  11. You haven't seen it, but it is bad? Yep. typical internet forum "knowledge." Hahahaha.
  12. Finally!! It's about time. I've been waiting for this.
  13. Easy to fix. Many different ways to program them so they still show they are speed limited when plugged into, but will still run wide open. We've had to deal with this in Ontario Canada for a couple years now.
  14. Just got of the phone with someone at International. The new Paystar will be unveiled to dealers next week. Can you say Cat truck. It will have many of the changes Cat made to the 5600i as customers have been asking for them. New hood, interior and some multi-plexed wiring. Gotta say though.....I am going to really miss the outgoing 5600i style. Not sure if they are going to keep the 5900i Paystar models that have the 9900i and 9400i hoods.
  15. I like the steel wheels. No polishing. Looks good with the white truck and the chrome caps on them.
  16. Damn, maybe they only email me. Maybe I was supposed to keep it secret. Damn, I blew it!
  17. Didn't think I had to post links with this "top secret" information. I guess it's all false then. I made it up. But interesting to note that everything you post is always posted first on their weekly email updates they send out. Sometimes even word for word. LOL. You better go after them....they are stealing your info before you post it, LOL.
  18. Also says Navistar is still working with MAN and Scania....and guess who owns them? LOL.
  19. It's been in Today's Trucking and Truck News the last couple weeks. VW says they want to become the largest in the world. Also says the Navistar deal isn't off the table yet either.
  20. I hope this is the future coming. I see Cummins already has a motor tested at 500 h.p. that doesn't have egr, and John Deere has one that has scr and no dpf muffler. I can live with urea if we can get rid of DPF's.
  21. Anybody else read this? Been reported Volkswagen is now seriously looking to buy Paccar, to add to their MAN/Scania portfolio.
  22. That's why I was very disappointed the Maxx didn't work out......as you say, the MAN version did very well. I figured they had a winner with MAN behind them. I guess they just pushed the EGR too far?? Any word on how they are doing now with the Cummins SCR on them?
  23. Logtruckman....that 15L is the C15 with Int/MAN fuel and air systems. It is discontinued, so those are the mass egr left overs. The Int. and Cat people told me they can't give them away. People don't want a discontinued engine. Cat was supposed to get three truck models and two engines out of that deal....but now they have one truck, one engine. And now they're even more unhappy because that 13L has Cummins emissions system on it.
  24. Was at a big industry show today. Went over to the Caterpillar rep to rib him. Asked how they like those Cummins parts on their Cat engines, that are really Maxxfarces. I asked if the rumours are true of Cat's return to the on road truck engine business. He said he can't say, but winked and nodded his head. Said there will be a big announcement in about 18 months. Also said they are breaking their ties with International as the partnership didn't really work out, but they own the rights to that Paystar cab, so they are going to build their own truck under it. But he didn't say any of this. Doesn't sound like we will get M-drive in vocational trucks yet either. The Allison deal has been extended. Said they can install one in a Granite if a customer REALLY wanted one, but they have to get lots of approvals, even from Allison.
  25. Boy, they're starting 'em young now eh. LOL.
