  2. There is a man in Jackson Mi who can make the scolls as a decal or vinyl. His name is Ken Soderbeck. his website is http://www.personal.umich.edu/~oates/restore/
  3. A group of 4 brought my 1929 Mack BB fire truck 700 miles from Louisville, KY. I picked up my information from the Mack Musuem, went to the show, unloaded, got spotted by Doug Maney himself, enjoyed a hot and humid Friday but under the trees by the information booth. Saturday was a different story, got there early, sat in the rain with the truck till 11:00 am, loaded in the rain, left and went back home (700 miles). Had a good time, learned a lot, and will go back again.
  4. Any one have color info for 1929 Mack Bb fire truck? Also if bench seats were used instead of individual buckets? Looks like mine has been modified. Charlie
  5. Does anyone know the top speed of a 1929 Mack BB with a 4 cylinder motor (AB) and 4 speed transmission? leaking antifreeze at the water pump( packing) prevents me from finding this out myself.
  6. I just bought a 1929 BB fire truck #631665. No pictures yet, but will soon. Do you have any pictures of yours?

  11. Unless you have access to a good heavy duty transmission jack and concrete floor, I wouldn't recommend it. Also have the flywheel ground and install new pilot bearing. PS good looking truck!
  12. Do they still have the truck? any other info.
  13. Try someone on-line like McMaster Carr for that piece
  14. I work in a truck repair shop that rebuilds transmissions and diffs. We have used Chevron 80w90 Delo in both for many years. Recently we started using Chevron Trans 50 ESI synthetic in the transmissions, but some customers still use 80w90 Charlie
  15. Lot of different pricing per grade and brand of lining. Anywhere from $25 to $75
  16. Stick to one vehicle at a time, other wise you have vehicles or parts of vehicles scattered every where and none of them done. Why don't you get the "E" running and driving, and if you don't like it or want something else, sell it and buy something else. Brownies were put in trucks to help speed up a truck or give more power to the bottom end. They are not shifted very much and don't need to be.
  17. Hey Barry, How about an "L" model Fire Truck? Hint, look at avatar. That would look cool!
  18. Good looking truck! I have a complete manual at home with pumping instructions. I can make a copy and send or e-mail to you. I have never pumped mine
  19. Try these people, http://www.otbgear.com I saw them at NSRA last year and they were identical to my head lights. They are made in China but the quality was real good!
